Has anyone picked this up and read it? ( or someone subscribes? )
I just ordered it today and I haven't seen anyone referring to it, so I'm wondering if it's really good...

Bgas, did the magazine have any session photographs in color?

I have always wanted the image on that cover as a poster. I know the box set came with something from that same day, but I wanted the pyramid photo. Wish they'd make that available.

Maybe you could photoshop it?

Nope. There aren't really a lot of pics included.
I haven't read Dave Beards' complete article yet, but it appears to be a decent companion piece for the Box. I imagine the best stuff will be in the new ESQ.

What it does have is a nice article from Frank Holmes, sharing the story behind his imagery for Surf's Up.

I couldn't find anyplace to order it online:

You can purchase an issue of Goldmine Magazine for $8.

You can reach Goldmine at 800-258-0929 with a credit card or you can send in your request with payment to the following address:
F+W Media
Back Issues
PO Box 5009
Iola, WI 54945

If you call/write you have to tell them it's the December 2011 issue (in addition to issue # 808)

Does anyone know if there's a UK distributor of Goldmine? Since Tower Records (and subsequently, Borders) closed down, I've never been able to find a London-based shop that sells it, & don't really want to pay the $86 for a sub (Tower used to sell it for under £3 per issue). Anyone?

If you can't find one, let me know, and I'll get another copy and send it to you. The drawback there is shipping will be $8 to the UK, in addition to the $8 Goldmine charges me.
( I'll do it for any of my pals in the UK, not just Harveyw)
