What do you think the guys on the left would have thought if they could have seen the guys on the right back in '62 and been told that Group #2 would someday be known as 'The Beach Boys'? .............

Add a picture of the Mike/Bruce version of the BB's, and you'd really have blown the 1962 guys' minds!

Well they would have wondered where Brian and Dave where, and also questioned who those two other guys were. Maybe they would have been surprised to see Al back. Nobody would have been shocked to see Mike bald

One day in the 70s David Marks awoke after a night of hard tripping on a bare wood living room floor. How, he wondered, did I ever beccome Blondie Chaplin?

Here's a better question: What would group 1 think If you played them Love You and told them that that's them in 15 years?

They may have thought, "Hey! Al's back!, and Brian and David turned black!"

Hell, play 1966 Brian GIOMH and tell him that's HIS future! Forget Sgt Pepper, that would stop him dead in his tracks.

I actually think that [as AGD called him recently] pothead / speed freak / acidhead Brian Wilson would dig his Landy self. Brian under Landy often seemed more lucid, intelligent, extrovert, enthusiastic, etc and often spoke like an intellectual rather than a "brain fried" guy as someone else called him.

I get that - I just mean in isolated cases there are many examples of Brian from the Landy period where he seems in very good condition to me. I guess I have different standards when it comes to that, though?
