The Good Vibrations blantant copies around the world

As I started to post on this topic: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,10557.0.html . There has been a lot of "strongly-inspired-to-blatant-copies" of the song "Good Vibrations" done around the world. Especially for advertising and TV shows.

Here are 3 french (cause I am) examples to start:

- The opening theme of "Dim Dam Dom" a french TV show about fashion, music, cinema and other topics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUYuYVAVlzM
The theme has been composed by Michel Colombier, who later worked on arranging the BBoys (on "Sunflower" for instance).


- An advertising for french water "Vittel" in the 80s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cLe_y268M4
The "Good Vibrations" theme does not start at the begining, you have to wait to the 0'15" mark.


- The third example is less obvious, this is also a french ad for chocolate cream : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xE0ovtkg9y8
I guess it's been composed by the same who did "Vittel". It's less blatant, but there's definitely the "Brian" touch in the harmonies, the working on gimmicks and such.

Given that Mr. Defever's co-writer on the song (and vocalist) is a friend of mine, I can assure you that they hold nothing but respect for Brian and the original "Good Vibrations". The song was written and produced after the duo had heard some of the outtakes from the GV sessions. The album the song is featured on (STARS ON ESP) replicates many of the 60s pop styles in His Name Is Alive fashion.

I find that with most dancing to music in situations like this, if you turn off the sound and just look at participants jumping up and down, the whole ludicrousness of dancing to music, removed from its musical context, is revealed as the farce that it is. However, on this occasion, the ludicrousness is apparent without having to turn off the music.

Well, I wouldn't be so hard, I'd say it's the fruit of the sixties consensual spirit (=zany) ...  And at least they took one heck of a song as model

I always thought Two Weeks by Grizzly Bear sounded a lot like Good Vibrations, especially some of the versions that are on Smiley twofer. Not saying it's plagiarism, just always struck me as similar in sound.
