A Tale Of Two Cities - Smile font?

A week or two ago, I noticed a strange-looking book sitting on a bookshelf: it was A Tale Of Two Cities, but the writing on the cover and the spine was identical (or nearly identical) to the writing found on the cover for Smile. It even has the lowercase i. Here's a picture I found of this book online:



It's a print by the Washington Square Press. Does anyone know anything about this?

When was that edition of the book published ?  I'm willing to bet it was after 1966.

Edit - I stand corrected, it was published in 1962. Well, now... maybe someone in the Capitol art department was a Dickens fan.

Could be the same graphic artist – is that a US edition of the book? Has the Capitol art dept. guy who did the SMiLE lettering ever been named? It could well be that he worked for other publishers.
