I can tell you don't like the Love You album

How did you get that from anything I said? Please explain.

ah F, I'm sorry, I apologize. I misread your post, I thought it said I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't care for it like Jeff or something like that...doesn't help that I'm trying to grade papers and read this stuff. I'm sorry.
I get your message now...long live Love You

Maybe you should concentrate all your effort into grading papers. If you messed up reading a Beach Boys message board, I feel bad for the student when you misread his answer.

Bwahahaha!

Student Paper
Question:
The distance d between points (-4 , -5) and (-1 , -1) is given by d = sqrt[ (-1 - -4) 2 + (-1 - -5) 2 ] Simplify.

Student Answer:
d = sqrt(9 + 16) = 5

Punkinhead:
Does this mean you don't like the Love You Album?  D- !

Student:
WTF?

Well, I was paying more attention to my paper than the board

Back on topic:

Beach Boys:
Brian
Mike
Al
Bruce
David
Ricky (it's not like they don't need a drummer!)
Blondie (either onstage all night or in some sort of special cameo, singing lead on "Sail On Sailor" and if doing the cameo, also "Wild Honey")

Backup Band:
Ed Carter
Billy Hinsche
Jeff Foskett (I'm a fan.  Don't hate!  In 2011, NO ONE associated with any of the three bands does a better "Don't Worry Baby" IMO)
Darian Sahanaja
Matt Jardine
John Cowsill*
Christian Love* (tho I personally think his voice is a little too "wispy", he is family afterall AND a current member of the band!)

*if Blondie & Ricky don't get the invite

Possibly:
Paul Mertens
Probyn Gregory (there sure are a lot of guitarists onstage but his brass would come in handy)
Scott Totten (if yet ANOTHER keyboardist is required)

Exclusions:
No Stamos (Matt's got the percussion covered and I'd rather hear David or Brian sing "Forever" ANY TIME!)
Matt & Christian are the only kids invited because they actually served some extensive time.

I predict all three bands.  David with Al's band open the show. Brian does a set (alternates with Mike every nite), Mike and Bruce, then 30 minds of the masses.

Ricky and Blondie show up for one concert.

It's no big surprise that the 1967-now stuff is pretty much absent from Brian's setlists. Apparently Jeff dictates the setlist more than we think.

That pisses me off so much...the post 1967 stuff happens to be my favorite -_-

Yeah, maybe Jeff could duck out for a cheeseburger or ten while the rest of the guys rip into some Wild Honey and Love You material.

NO STAMOS!!!!!!!!!!    C'mon!!!!   He has been a novelty and a fan, little else.  He is not part of any legacy.

Definitely Cowsill,  the closest thing to Dennis in essential power and sound but possessing talent enough to handle the more complex material in spades.   He can sing great and has star quality.

Yeah!

Don't worry, I will take things more seriously when I get a real teaching position, not just a TA....btw, I go over their work more than once, so no worries here.  Grin

John Stamos has more "star power" than nearly any of the musicians listed as supporting members, and would surely bring in more female fans than anyone else on the list, which equals bigger money and more success at the ticket office. And, though the truth may hurt, his image as a Beach Boy as seen in the Kokomo video, in several concert tours and videos, and on television sitcoms makes him more recognizable to a larger majority of people who say they like the Beach Boys' music than most anyone on that list.

Star power = money. I'm sure if anything develops (although now it's looking like a mess of too many musicians and too many competing versions of The Beach Boys, at least to me), Stamos will at least be invited to play something.
