Metal Beach was released on a Paul Shaffer album in 1988 or 1989.

I Sleep Alone was written for a british actress, but never released.  It was performed live by Brian on a VH1 show.

There's also a studio version floating around. It ain't good.  Angry Written for Sarah Brightman, one-time wife of Andrew Lloyd-Webber.  Should warn you that a lot of the info that comes with those videos is, to be charitable, less than entirely accurate.  Grin

Loaf, at the risk of blowing my own trumpet - but then, if I don't, who will ? - check out my BB site, which has details of BB guest performances, unreleased songs... oh, and a whole other bunch of drivel.

I quite like the studio version of 'I Sleep alone', except I prefer the chorus on the TV show version as it's sung lower which works better, especially for the contrast of the high bit at the end of the chorus.

Yes that is Landy.  Paul Shaffer had a book out a few months ago with a little story about Metal Beach.  He said Landy came to the session with some really awful lyrics and talks a little bit about him.

Mr. Doe, I am constantly impressed with your vast knowledge of the boys. Here's applauding you.  Smiley
