I have a JPEG I'd like to use as my avatar--it's the same one of Captain Kirk that I used at the old board.  Can anyone explain to me how to make it part of my posts?

I checked out the instructions on how to do it, but they didn't really help me.

I'm still having trouble downloading an avatar.  Wasn't a problem on the recently hacked board.  I was using imagehosting to download from my computer.  I can't seem to do that anymore.  Neither can I download avatars from web sites,  it seems, without first saving to my computer.  Back to square one.

Any suggestions from anyone?

hmm maybe the avatar size is too big??  I resized it to 100x100 pixels and reuploaded it to freeimagehosting.net

Once again I tried to change my avatar in the same way that always worked on the oid board ,and it didn't work. WHY? It used to be easy, now it's an unproductive pain in the ass. I'm using the same image hosting service I used before, which still lets me place an image in a post. Why can't I play with my avatars the way I used to?

I'M SCREAMING HERE!
