What can you say about heroes' battles? Which pairing could work in the big budget movie? Any ideas?

Superheroes banal to pair. Which 2 good characters=heroes could work in big budget movie? Well?

To be honest, I really wouldnt want to mix up characters from different genres.
I think the heroes of Lethal Weapon and Die Hard would work because the tones of both franchises are similar with the mix of action with humor.
Impossible with the death of Harold Ramis but maybe a coming together of the Ghostbusters and Men in Black.

Speaking re: mixing up. Do you accept films with animation? 50/50 about it? Think it's stupid? The best imo such blend can be seen in "Song Of The South". The plot is about guy who tells fairy tales, thus the animation fits there.

Sure. I think Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a great movie.
Also, the 1992 comedy Stay Tuned includes some animation (thought it doesn't really mix with the live action like Song of the South or Roger Rabbit).

"Roger" is good movie.
Would you tell films with people speaking to imaginary friends besides "Harvey" (1950), "The Shining" & pointless "Donnie Darko"? Do you like these type movies or think they're too "far out"?

Off the top of my head, there's the cult comedy Drop Dead Fred. Although unlike Harvey, you actually see the titular imaginary friend.
I think those types of movies can be good.

"Harvey" is better movie then - it's difficult to use imagination than see the imaginary friend being played in flesh. Stewart took challenging role, kudos to him.
What do you think about film & television? Why film actors get praise, recognition & 1st-class status than their strictly TV colleagues? F.ex. it's usually film stars who get to be household names. But, what about people watching TV when they're back home? Shouldn't this make it by default the win situation? Or, is TV show business too varied, too many series made/ being introduced yearly that people just don't rmbr the faces they see, they've got choices?
Using logic, I gathered it's easier to switch the telly than going to the pictures, therefore, TV actors would be best recognized than film actors? Granted, big screen movies tranfer to TV after some time plus DVD/Blu-Ray editions but, many TV shows go this route as well.
The next example - there seems to be secret agreement that if you play in film, it's the highest mark of the acting career. Not many TV actors get invited to the popular "Late Night" shows & the like. Of course, little doubt that TV is money-maker, big money-maker at that too. But, strangely, the actors who work in TV only, they seem 2ndary to the actors who mainly play in films. Not much reverence to what they do (btw, doesn't mean the individial TV actors can't gather fanbase but it doesn't usually leave the said fanbase, even if it's million viewers they're not worldwide known like, say, famous screen movie stars).
Discuss.

I think there's actually been a shift over the last few years regarding opinions of TV actors v film actors.
Probably about a decade ago, you started in TV, and you hoped to "graduate" to movies. But, now actors are making bigger impact on television. Shows like The Sopranos, Game of Thrones, ER, 24, The Walking Dead, etc really changed perceptions.
TV programs also have bigger budgets than in the past, so you're getting cinema quality entertainment of a lot of TV shows these days.

A foot and a half of snow is keeping me inside today. I decided to watch some old cheesy horror flicks from the 50s. Right now I have Roger Corman's Bucket Of Blood on. Man I wish I had a cd of the background music from this film.

I was a fan of Paul Dano even before he played Brian Wilson, but I just saw his 2012 flick "Ruby Sparks." It was really enjoyable. It takes the common tropes of the writer whose characters come to life and the Manic Pixie Dream Girl and turns them on their heads.
I also finally saw Thor: Ragnarok. Loved it!

Paul Dano was also is a teen comedy called The Girl Next Door in 2004 I think. The premise sounds like your standard teen comedy fodder, a shy guy has his world turned upside down when a gorgeous former porn star moves in next door. But, the movie surprisingly does deeper than your usual sex jokes of movies of that time.

I'll have to check that out. I've requested a couple of his older movies from the library. I enjoy his choice in roles. I think the first time I noticed as being a good actor was There Will Be Blood, even though I know I saw him in Little Miss Sunshine and perhaps something else before then.

A lot of his roles seem a little too arthouse for my taste. When it comes to on screen Brian's, I prefer John Cusack.

I just mean when it comes to their resumes, not so much for their portrayals of Brian.

This week I began rewatching the fantastic Horace & Pete, which Louis CK released to Hulu maybe 15 months ago after first dropping through his website. I was really glad to see it still there after the publicity of his creepy masturbatory habits as part of the #MeToo stuff. It’s a great show. He’s a talented guy and I hope he keeps putting out new content—and that outlets continue to be willing to show it.
But hopefully he’ll stop jerking off in front of colleagues who aren’t into watching him do that.

I hope he will be back too. His latest stand-up special was easily as good as anything he's ever done in the field. The incidents all happened in the late-90s and early 2000s so I think he was long over that even when they surfaced. My opinion is that what he did was not that bad, certainly not in the way the media portrayed it. He always asked for permission, he never locked the door etc. Other comedians who were around at the time spoke about how some women treated the whole thing lightly when it happened rather than being offended.

I suspect it's because less people seem to be going to the movies. There is so much competition on TV these days with premium cable and streaming services, that more focus is being put behind TV shows.
Does this mean the quality is better? Well, that's debatable. For every great show, there are probably 10-15 duds. It's gotten to the point where networks are resurrecting shows that have been off the air for 20 years (ie. Will & Grace / Roseanne).

When you say "It's gotten to the point where networks are resurrecting shows that have been off the air for 20 years", do you mean they display re-runs or create new eps to old shows?
If you're tasked to interview TV actor, who would you like?

I mean, doing new episodes of old shows. NBC started airing new Will and Grace episodes last year. Netflix brought back Full House a year or two ago. ABC starts the first new season of Roseanne in 20 years next week. And there are rumors of King of the Hill, The Office, and several others that might come back.
I wouldn't mind interviewing Andrew Lincoln from The Walking Dead. I think he's a good actor, and his father in law is Ian Anderson, from Jethro Tull. So, that's interesting.
