Thanks for the info Ivy. Guess I'll keep checking back w/Ticketmaster.

My big wish would be for them to play at Ironstone Winery in Murphys - An awesome place to catch a show.

Hey Arch Stanton:  How many people understand your name reference?  There are two types of people in this world my friend...

That's my real name!  Ha ha, kidding.  "There are those with loaded guns, and those who dig."

I bought a meet and greet package for the Berkeley show. Do you think we will be able to meet Brian's band in addition to the BBs? I've read all these great things about how personable the band is and would really hate to miss the chance to speak to them.

A thought crossed my mind today...I know Sheriff John Stone doesn't post here anymore, but if he's still lurking, he's probably thinking "I told you so!". Seems like he'd been wanting to see a BBs reunion for several years now.

He was lurking here just a few days ago.  I don't even remember why he left.  SJS, if you see this, come back.

Come back SJS! He was a cool guy when I first joined the board as an impressionable eejit a few years back  Grin

As I recall SJS got into an argument with some of the honored guests, wouldn't accept what they were saying and flounced off in a huff.

AGD - Thanks a bunch for the info on the new dates. Do you know if there are any plans for more Northern California shows besides Berkeley?

And...do you have any idea as to what's going on with the Harvey's Lake Tahoe 7/15 show? Do you know if the date will change?

Thanks!

Do you think a VIP meet and greet ticket is worth it? I've been dying to meet them and get them to sign my Holland and Mt Vernon and Fairway EP, etc.  And I'm dying to see them. But I'm also a bit skeptical to see if it's a "run you in and out" really quick for five minutes and take a quick picture or whatever. You know what I mean?

Nah, some of them will sit down and talk to you. Photos and autographs is on top of that. You'll probably get to hang out a few minutes with the more sociable BBoys, maybe even all of them, and get to meet the touring band, anyway.  Smiley

And production aside, I’d so much rather hear a 14 year old David Marks shred some guitar on Chug-a-lug than hear a 51 year old Mike Love sing about bangin some chick in a swimming pool.-rab2591

I emailed VIP Nation and asked if we were going to be meeting Brian's band and they said that the meet and greet was just for the Beach Boys. -_-

I'm really hoping that's just a technicality and that the band will be accessible.

did you phrase it as "Brian's band"? because, technically, they're the Beach Boys' band now, not just Brian's.

Yes, I did. Maybe that was the issue. I wasn't thinking that the customer service person probably doesn't know the difference. Erg.

Didn't Al or Mike say a few months ago something along the line 'were open to offers' as far as the tour goes? That reads to me that they are putting themselves out there and it is up to individual venues to book them rather than one orginisation booking and arranging the whole 50 (now 60) gigs.

If Provo was the only party interested on the 4th, they got the gig.

Their Stadium of Fire show on the 4th, if previous Stadium of Fire concerts are anything to go buy, will be broadcast around the world to men and woman in the armed services. So it really is more than just "a show".
