One good thing that came from this is all the previously-unseen Brian photos.
This makes me wonder... what happened to the copious amounts of videos of Brian from this time? Wasn't everything filmed daily? There must be thousands of hours of footage. Not that this private footage should be seen by the public, but at the same time, from a historical perspective, I hope it wasn't just destroyed.
We'd have to find all the former employees and ask where the cameras were set down.

Unpopular Opinions: I thoroughly enjoy M.I.U Album and all of Sweet Insanity. I think the early BB albums (Surfin' Safari up to Summer Days [and Summer Nights]) are inessential at best (aside from a few standouts like Surfer Girl, Don't Worry Baby, California Girls, Let Him Run Wild, etc.).

Then they can go back to being estranged and VDP can join "Mike Love Presents SMiLE" in an epic tour of county fairs and high school gyms where finally the mystery of the uncovered cornfield will be revealed. The answer MAY surprise you.
That may actually be a good idea for Mike to do! Seriously! I may actually start a thread about the idea!

Save for I think three songs, GIOMH is all re-recordings from either Sweet Insanity or the Paley sessions. There is definitely a lot of material from the Paley sessions that fans have been wanting released for years.
yes in it's original form not re-recorded,,,,except vocals,,Brian can re-record the vocals,..but the music and the wall of sound production needs to stay. That's an interesting approach.....really well didn't Brian redo the vocals for the MIC release of "You're still a mystery"? he could do the same with the rest.. If they are overly processed? No thanks. Keep the originals...

I crashed the party at the hotel the day before the Washington Monument concert in 1984. Almost everyone was there, including Brian, Landy, Carl, La Toya Jackson, Joe Jackson and others. Brian's behavior was odd, and frankly not at all how I perceive him today. Landy was with him the entire time.
Can you give us any more details?

Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Do any ardent Murry or Landy defenders exist?

Just wondering if there have ever been any people, online or otherwise, who have ardently defended Murry or Landy's actions? I'd imagine if these exist, they would be people best suited for an insane asylum... but perhaps there are actually people (non-trolls) who actually feel this way in their hearts.
And I'm not talking about people who just defend a few, select things that Murry or Landy did, but generally defend their actions and characters on the whole? Maybe is this akin to trying to find the yeti...
There was a video where some people waiting to get an autograph from BW in the 80's said Landy was a great guy that savead his life. Makes me really think: would we all think this now if we didn't find out Landy's abuses?
