"Amusement Parks USA" is The Beach Boys doing what they do best, making unique sounding, fun records that just make you smile when you hear them. This is a great song, it may not have meaningful lyrics, but music is meant to be enjoyed in all its forms. A great backing track, great vocals, what more could you ask for?

Bought the box-set on release day (as I do with all Beach Boys products), and still enjoying it. The packaging, combined with the track selection is just mind blowing, it's an eye opener and a must buy for all Beach Boys fans.

When I first heard this album on my top-end stereo, I concentrated way too much on the sound quality. Once I'd ripped it to MP3 and put it on my iPod I listened to it over and over again for the music within, and now I'm really enjoying the entire two-CD set. Great song selection, some great singing and we should all be happy we have newly released material at this stage in the bands career.

I like this album, I don't know why there's not much love for it, but it's fun and enjoyable.

I feel this album, and some of it's tracks, does not get enough love. The first time I heard it though, it was something special to me, and a solid 4/5. For me, "Student Demonstration Time" sits in the right place on the album, after the slower opening tracks, its a blast to end side one. "Surf's Up" ending side two is a brilliant choice, and one of the greatest Beach Boys songs that they have in their cannon.

I love the whole vibe and feel to the Summer Days (And Summer Nights!) album, for me it represents The Beach Boys doing what they do best, and singing well crafted songs with great harmonies. Highlights of the album for me are "The Girl From New York City", "Amusement Parks USA", "California Girls" and "You're So Good To Me".

The first side is strong enough by itself, with it's fast paced tracks and soaring Beach Boys harmonies and inventive song writing. However, flip the album and side two takes the album into a whole new dimension. From the sublime "Please Let Me Wonder", right through to the ethereal "In The Back Of My Mind", this album is a five-star album and one which has become even greater since it's stereo re-release, allowing the songs to breathe in a way they had not done in the past.

I've been listening to Pet Sounds now since I was around 14 years old. At first I was disappointed at the lack of "Surf Music" sound, but over the years, as I matured, I learned to listen and enjoy what to me represents one of the greatest albums of all time.

For me though, it's not the really well known tracks that steal the show, but songs such as "I Know There's An Answer", "Here Today", "That's Not Me" and of course the ever wonderful "I Just Wasn't Made For These Times".
