Just got row D in Brian's presale for Glasgow! First row was available as well, so I assume there's no VIP on the Uk tour.

Urgh, don't get paid for another week! But will surely try for Glasgow.

Yeah, it does seem to be quite ambitious venues this time! I'm guessing in part due to the album/movie/Blondie & Al and possible final tour combination.

Well, thank you very much! Grin

Ugh, can't seem to find a play button to preview these. Do you need some sort of device, or might it be geographically restricted?

EDIT - Ah, checking via proxy, i found that the samples are U.S only as far as I could see. Grr Angry
7  Smiley Smile Stuff / BRIAN WILSON Q & A / Any update on your autobiography and will it still be released this year? on: January 25, 2015, 10:14:10 AM
Any update on your autobiography and will it be released this year?

I hope this doesn't mean the return of B-Pain! Shocked

I didn't know Brian attempted DWB in it's original key a few years ago, albeit doubled by Jeff,  I thought he only ever did in in C on the solo tours!
10  Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 73: Royal Albert Hall - London, UK 9/27/12 on: October 03, 2012, 03:23:16 PM
I'm guessing it'd be the only performance of  Little Girl, no with B-Pain, it was only performed on the first few shows until RAH, hope somebody recorded it!
11  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Just got a tickemaster alert for the Beach Boys in Sewell NJ in April 2013! on: October 01, 2012, 05:31:56 PM
Far too cheap for it not to be a M&B show, dream on folks Sad
12  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Grammy Museum Los Angeles 9/18/12 on: September 20, 2012, 06:02:20 PM
IMO, Bruce doesn't seem to have a lot to do on this tour, he takes more leads on the M&B tour e.g Sloop John, Surfer Girl, DYWD, I would guess he's quite keen to get back into that.
13  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: New Beach Boys 2012 Remasters! on: September 19, 2012, 08:00:52 AM
I recieved an email from blahdvd telling me 50 Big Ones has dispatched! I've ordered summer days from amazon and it's not dispatched yet, they're a bit more by the book and don't dispatch till usually 2-3 days before the release date these days!
14  Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 68: Entertainment Center - Brisbane, AU 8/28/12 on: August 30, 2012, 02:31:29 PM
Surf's Up? I'll beleive it when i see it! Who would sing I can Hear Music though? As far as 2002, Brian could still do Warmth of the Sun, albeit doubled in a slightly lower key, i'm guessing Jeff would do that one if it comes up again though.
15  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Brian's Wouldn't It Be Nice Vocal on: August 20, 2012, 02:09:04 PM
Annoyingly, it's bloomin hard to find a Brian live vocal of this in its original live key, on youtube at least, there's only 1 where he's not doubled, and it looks mimed!

Has someone else take over Don't Worry Baby? Is it just me or does it now sound like usual Jeff apart from the last verse??

I wouldn't be surprised to see Summer In Paradise being added now after this!
18  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: UK !!! on: June 28, 2012, 01:13:54 PM
I remember seeing a documentary re: second hand ticket sales recently, it was about viagogo, basically, some of these sites have an allocation from ticketmaster and or/the source. Welcome to the 21st century Sad Sad
19  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: UK !!! on: June 27, 2012, 06:16:39 PM
RAH ticket prices are ridiculous £150-60, compared to Wembley where (correct me if i'm wrong) the top prices were about £75-80? I'm still holding out for more UK dates, why would they drag a 14 piece band overseas for 2 nights?
20  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Brian's falsetto on: June 27, 2012, 06:13:25 PM
I'm no expert on this, but there's quite a few smile era videos on YT where he absolutely nails the falsetto on GV.
21  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Getcha Back is such a tease! on: June 27, 2012, 06:08:49 PM
Sounds like Totten's handling the woo-oos this time, also looks like Brian did a little backing vocals live, nothing that particuarly stands out though!
22  Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 31: Susquahanna Bank Center - 6/16/12 - Camden, NJ (Philadelphia area) on: June 18, 2012, 03:36:42 PM
Surely Brians doing some of his original vocal in Getcha Back, it's not all high notes! As for the falsetto, despite the fact it was recorded in 85, i cant seem to find a clear answer of who exactly sings in the recording!
23  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Songs the Boys Should Perform :) on: June 02, 2012, 03:28:43 PM
Definetly Surf's Up tops the list for me, but from Pet Sounds? I'd love to hear I'm Waiting For The Day, I Know There's An Answer or Caroline to be honest
24  Smiley Smile Stuff / Concert Reviews / Re: Show 23: Greek Theatre - Berkeley, CA 6/1/12 (SETLIST/PICS/REVIEWS) on: June 02, 2012, 12:31:35 PM
Surf's Up would be awesome!, if neccesary, i suppose they could rotate it with IJWMFTT
25  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Your favorite/hardest BB song to sing on: June 01, 2012, 02:35:12 PM
For me it's don't worry baby. I can get it full voice, but using falsetto in the verses is a nightmare.  There's a trick to Surf's Up. Go into falsetto in the "ins Do-OOmino" and you'll hit it. And yes wouldn't it be nice is hard. Put it this way, it's never been done in its original key live, even now it's in E (Original F). Same with I can hear music. I remember hearing it in Db once, but its stayed in C whenever performed. (Original D)
