Thank you, thank you. Haha that part just sorta came to me! Other than chords, i really did most of it by ear, so things like that just sounded right!

Man, do I have a gift for you guys Smiley

Yesterday I had an insane burst of energy and kicked this one out... Like 100% Tongue

I'm so hype about this, I think it's probably my best so far... and that's with a single a few days ago... (!)

Everything is here, including the isolated parts so you can hear everything I figured out! * I highly recommend listening to the later parts of the vox!! Fun stuff! *

Lovely track, sir. Those vocal harmonies are stunning.

The instrumental on the flip is very good too. Is that you on sax?

Thank you! Glad you liked it :D Unfortunately no, I had to use a sampled sax for that specific part... hopefully one day!

EDIT: However! The first soloing part is actually a trumpet, which is me!

Enjoyed this very much. Nice work. Smiley

Super glad, thanks!

107  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Big Love Cover Request on: July 19, 2016, 03:47:33 PM
Made a little cover of Big Love by Fleetwood Mac. Anyone wanna do vocals on the chorus and second verse?

I'll send it asap, don't wanna do it long, just like the sound I got and wanna have some good vocals over it!
108  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Re: The e-Collaboration Thread (Prayer, Little Bird, Soulful Old Man Sunshine) on: July 06, 2016, 08:40:05 PM
I can help out with whatever is needed.
109  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Do 'Older' Beach Boys Fans Appreciate Their Music Differently? on: July 04, 2016, 08:13:18 AM
I'd say its the same. While playlists and that jazz do exist, I completely respect and get engulfed in the running orders constantly and listening to an album made to be played in such a way can really solidify what makes an album so special. It's why everyone I force to listen to pet sounds gets their own CD, and not just the files!
110  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / The Girl From NYC Cover on: June 18, 2016, 12:31:20 PM
Wanted to do a cover of an obscure Beach Boys song, so I picked a personal fav.
Wanted to try to mix all the little things i've learned in one fun little package.
I hope you enjoy https://soundcloud.com/mikeleroymusic/the-girl-from-nyc-cover
111  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / Re: The Right to Keep and Bear Arms: The Gun Thread on: June 16, 2016, 07:05:31 PM
It's probably much easier to get a gun illegally in this country than legally. So, she unfortunately wouldn't have a different fate.
112  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / The Sandbox / The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild on: June 16, 2016, 02:58:19 AM
Everyone knows Zelda. Love or hate some entries, everyone has enjoyed it at some point. The series, many agree, was in dire need of a new direction after the "formula" (quite successful, yet overused) grew stale.

While I won't say nothing in this game has been done before, and nothing looks or has better content, I think it's safe to say this will revolutionize gaming in many ways, just as Ocarina of Time did for 3D.

"Open World" games have been a growing trend in the industry, but Nintendo has stayed away from the "genre" up till this point, choosing to be more restrained and refined with world building.
"Open Air Action" is what they choose to call this new concept, a world bolstered by a solid game, rather than the opposite.

See for yourself, in what I find to be one of the finest trailers ever crafted...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rPxiXXxftE

Keep in mind, this footage is all from the Wii U. Generally considered underpowered for the day, the game will also launch on the next Nintendo Console "NX" in March 2017, no doubt looking and running a bit better, but providing the same experience.

Oh, and *That MUSIC*

Enjoy.
113  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Pet Sounds 50 track listing on: June 11, 2016, 01:10:42 PM
I'll have the box soon enough, but I'd love to hear that....
114  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Pet Sounds 50 track listing on: June 10, 2016, 10:29:42 AM
It very well could be, but something *SOMETHING* really clicks with me hard about this. I have no clue, as I said I'm likely just crazy Tongue

Edit: Man, I have no clue what it is, it just seems so much smoother and warmer.
115  Smiley Smile Stuff / General On Topic Discussions / Re: Pet Sounds 50 track listing on: June 10, 2016, 10:17:03 AM
Holy Christ, those stereo mixes are a million times cleaner, going to grab this asap.

Edit: Okay, as a guy who spends unhealthy, and downright insane amounts of time mixing his own sh*t... these new mixes are INSANELY good. The new stereo mixes are literally so good I'm getting in the car now to buy it.

Am I just crazy? These really seem like new, clean as sh*t mixes. Putting most of the instruments new one side is *pretty* genius, it allows the original mono genius to come through without the vocals intruding, then lets the vocals blend with the instruments with no clips.... JESUS CHRIST THE FIRST WIBN bridge... "We could be married" listen to the backing vocals....

Hey guys, I'm at a bit of a crossroads with music making and I'm moving on to my next album, just wanted to see if anyone else could give me some feedback? Sorry for the bump! Thanks guys! I really value the feedback!
118  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Re: Mike LeRoy Presents: Bridge on: December 28, 2015, 07:30:42 AM
Thanks man. It's a bit more disjointed than past work from me but the heart of it all is really in the same place. I'm using an MXL 770. Love it.

Thanks for listening, hopefully you can get a full listen in too!
119  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Re: Mike LeRoy Presents: Bridge on: December 24, 2015, 05:49:58 AM
Thanks for listening, I'll send over a code for a better copy so you can have a proper listen when you have the time.

I think my reasons for recording are to push myself to new heights and to show others what I can do. I really feel like it's more about writing good songs that
people will like than money or anything like that. Ex. If I could give away a song for free the people would love to sing, I'd be more than happy.

Thanks again! -Mike

Hey all! It's been a LONG time. After my last album, I was really considering stopping making music. I didn't feel like I was having enough of an effect on people so... I stopped and reconsidered.
It's hard to convince yourself to make music for yourself but in a lot of ways I needed to make this album, and you'll hear why.

Bridge

Simply, this is a simple album that I really like to put like this: It's easy to digest, but says a lot about the guy who made it all.

Anyways, enough talk, I'm getting this out there a few days early so you guys can possibly listen before the holiday... enjoy!

Feedback is very important to me. If you post a nice little "feel" about this album, maybe I'll send out a key so you can download a nice lossless copy? Eh? Thanks guys.
121  Non Smiley Smile Stuff / Smiley Smilers Who Make Music / Re: My 1963 Beatles Soundalike Attempt on: November 26, 2015, 09:28:16 AM
Really good stuff here, honestly I can see this really great with some light backing vocals and tambourine and bongos.

Don't worry about similarities. Just write what's in your heart, even if that sounds a bit like other songs.

11/10

You amaze me every time man, seriously. Keeps a guy like me putting energy into hopefully one day being this damn good.

(If only MGSV hadn't come out today... I'd be down recording now!)

I did notice that.  Now do Hillary!

I really don't have any strong feelings towards Hillary Clinton, either positive or negative.
You do it.

America does. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/quinnipiac-swing-state-polls-show-sharp-drop-in-hillary-clintons-numbers/article/2568748

It would really help to actually read articles before you post them. Especially when they say: "Of course this is just one poll (or set of polls), and any trend in these three states may not extend to other states. National polls matching Clinton against Bush, Walker and Rubio do not yet show any similar decline in her standing."

Okay? So she didn't fall in all states, but DRAMATICALLY did in other states.
