To your point. Not sure Justin and or Jonah Wilson would want to give up their share of the Beach Boys touring income that Mike provides. Jonah is an established real estate agent out in LA and appears to be doing quite well. But that notwithstanding my guess is they like the money.

Makes one Wonder just how long Dennis would have remained in the band as essentially an employee of the group rather than a voting owner after he sold his shares and had he survived. My guess is very short time span. Sad

I agree with what is written in this last post almost to the T. And I do think it would have been really cool to see
Carl and Al go out in a unplugged storytellers type of show. They were really the two voices in the Beach Boys to me live in oncert that stood out. Tough to hear them singing at sixties and seventies years of age about be true to your school and cheerleaders. Carl Wilson and Al Jardine solo story teller show would have been something else!

I believe the comment by Hey Jude about Mary Ann being from Scottsdale is true, I also believe she was the person originally involved with show horses. North Scottsdale, which is where they lived I believe, is stunning, and about 1/2 hour from what is Old Town/Down town Scottsdale. I know the area well. As an aside, I've been down Sycamore Canyon Road many a time, in my travels to Big Sur and Pfeiffer Beach. Al's Big Sur home is about 2 miles down SCR, just before you come to the parking lot for Pfeiffer Beach. It's gated with a big KEEP OUT sign, but a really cool place none the less. And practically right on Pfeiffer beach too.  Al sure lives/lived in some great spots, that's for sure.

It looks like Carney's husband has replaced Nick Walusco in the band. At least hes playing guitar in nicks spot on stage

That's pretty funny because she was one of the original cheerleaders and after she hooked up with Mike love probably the main 1.

They were definitely the same cheerleaders on the tour. In fact I believe Mike's wife started as one of the cheerleaders. I know she was in several of the videos I saw around Kokomo time when they first appeared

Marcella27, could not have said it any better.

Totally agree. Terrible lip sync performance at the worst possible time in extremely poor taste to Carl Wilson.

Agree about sunflower. Probably their best Collective piece of music other than Pet Sounds in my honest opinion

Probably the low point of his creative career LBWL; Love the new cd!

Happened to see the band on the Home show yesterday; the only one who spoke in the interview piece was Mike...obviously. Bruce just stood up front, like he normally does, but had a strange sort of far away look in his eyes, just kind of grinning and looking around the whole time. Sort of struck me as an old man whose mind has wandered a bit. Its just so strange to me that he stands up front in Mike's attempt to somehow validate the Beach Boys....but says nothing. Very strange.

Just read this on Facebook to. Very sad news I had not heard this before though obviously I think we all suspected something was wrong. Jeff had a great voice I have all of his solo C d's and their wonderful. Very sad news

I was at one of the first Beachago shows at Madison Square Garden...truly amazing show; I think that was my first ever Beach Boys show! What a first!!

Without a doubt Carneghie Hall, the February show.

Jeffs falsetto may have weakened but for anyone who questions his voice in general pick up some of his solo CDs they're really excellent. I actually have them all the music is quite enjoyable and his vocals are strong. Certainly recorded a long time ago but they're still great and I listen to often.

I seem to recall that in the mid 80s to late 90s the boys would mix in two or three new songs in a row and that would be their fill of recent material.

I sort of like the name the Storyteller tour, because it focuses on what the tour really is, telling stories and play ing acoustic versions of great hits. Endless Summer sounds more like a Mike Love Tour to me.

I think the one person who could really give us information about carls drinking in those last year's would be Al.  Seems like a very honest down-to-earth guy and I would believe what he said if in fact he said anything good or bad or even in the middle as opposed to Love, who I wouldn't believe one word tgat came out of the guy's mouth or Bruce for that matter. but it's so long ago any demons that are there should be left to lie

Sorry make that April of 1983

I think if I remember correctly it was the Newark Star-Ledger and it was June of 1983.

I was at a 1983 show at the Meadowlands in NJ when Looing at Tomorrow was performed. Great heavy job it was. This was also the last time I saw Dennis perform; his voice was so bad that the next day the local paper reported that Joe Cocker had showed up to sing You Are So Beautiful in the encore! Unbelievable!
