Good idea to resurrect this topic, RR. One that comes immediately to my mind is "Seven And Seven Is" by the West Coast band Love:

Strange Meadowlark - Dave Brubeck Quartet
Hello It's Me - The Nazz
Magical Mystery Tour - Beatles

And as was mentioned earlier in this thread, I LOVE the ending to Leaving This Town

"No White Flags." - Team Gleason

And the endings of these songs make me want to dance around the room:

The Ocean - Led Zeppelin

Please Don't Go - Stevie Wonder

Another song with a change of metre at the end (like Love's "Seven And Seven Is") is Pink Floyd's "Matilda Mother"--a perfect pop song (another is Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit"):

Cool you listed Paul's song. Even talking with hal about Beatles few times, he said Paul is no question the most talented in the Fab 4. Great minds think alike! 3D

The ending of the early Pink Floyd single "Paintbox" sort of reminds me of Magical Mystery Tour with Richard Wright's twinkly piano on the outro.

"Leaving This Town" by Beach Boys, wonder who came up with that?

Søren
Yes indeed (16 years later).

How about the massive instrumental coda to Captain Beefheart's "Kandy Korn"?

More BB stuff:

- "Marcella" (those shakers are to die for, to say nothing of the vocal interplay)

- The last three tracks on Surf's Up--wow
