I thought Carl's sons were or are part of a band called In Bloom.
But I am far from a BB's expert.

I talked to my boss, I can have vacation in april 17th-24th. I like that much better. Smiley

Question: Do Carl's boy's have a band? I never heard their music. How about Denny's kids, are they talented like Denny. The only Wilson's that I know are Brian's girls that made it big in music. I remember listening to Wilson Phillips, not knowing their back ground, and what a surprise I got when I found out who they were.

no i don't think any of them do music.  I think michael is a chef.  Just judging off his chefs uniform in the dennis biography.

I noticed the uniform also. I was told Carl's boy's and Al did something together. So none of Denny's kids are musician's. I'm hearing rumors one or more of Denny's kids make music. I searched but came up with nothing.

In Bloom is comprised of Justyn Wilson, Carl B. Wilson, and Mario Tucker. I don't know how active they are as a band these days, but they do show up at CWF benefits. Jonah Wilson sells high-end real estate. Dennis' son Michael owns a restaurant in Culver City, called appropriately "Wilson." Last I heard, Carl was working there as well. Scott Wilson is in the construction business and he built the Beach Boys Historical Monument in Hawthorne.

I was at the concert at Royce Hall in 2002, where Carl B. Wilson sang "Forever" with In Bloom. Carl brought the house down with his rendition, it seemed like he was channeling his dad at times -- a very emotional performance. He's one hard-working drummer, too, and uses one of his dad's kits.

There's a photo of that performance at:

I'd love to hear a recording of that.

Drat! I was hoping to catch lunch there next time I was in L.A. Michael has a very good reputation as a chef, I suspect he'll land on his feet pretty quickly. I'd love to see him compete on Iron Chef America.

If anyone knows where Michael's hanging his chef's hat these days, please let us know.

Wilson closed November 2009: they 'reinvented' themselves (no idea why) as Anejo at Wilson, basically an upmarket taco joint in spring 2009 and the reviews weren't good. The premises are now occupied by Sublime Food Lounge.

Maybe so, but evidently not a big money maker.  Else why would they close.
The online reviews seemed to be universally good, especially as compared to those for Wilson, where it was routinely panned.

Not to speak for the board or anything, but Denni, you aren't bothering us in the least.  I hope we've been of at least some comfort during this difficult journey, and that someday you might feel compelled to come back (or stay) once you get all your feelings sorted out.

Ummm... you must be reading different reviews from me - Wilson got some great notices (and it lasted for nearly three years as Wilson) but the reboot got generally 'meh' reviews and lasted six months.

In regards to In Bloom, I've scoured Google trying to find their music or a website, but haven't been able to find much more than little blurbs about the band and an interview with Justyn and Carl B: http://www.earcandymag.com/inbloom.htm

The link to the band's website at the bottom is no longer active.

The In Bloom site is still accessible via Internet Archive.  Just from looking around on the December 10, 2005 link, some of the mp3 clips of their music are archived as well.
