After seeing the pictures of Shawn & Gage with the band in 88 in another thread ( http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,4500.175.html ), it got me thinking about her.  Does anyone know how she felt about Mike Love?  When she was having health problems that eventually took her life, did anyone from the band reach out to her?

There are stories that went around at the time... but they were all second hand, so I wouldn't vouch for the accuracy of any of them.

Interesting point, however: the paternity case that her mother brought against Mike was reportedly resolved with Mike paying child support until she was 18, at which point she was allowed to use his surname - although the actual ruling was that it was possible, but not proven, that Mike was indeed her father. But, when her birth was registered, it was as Shawn Marie Love.

Shawn Marie Love...was Shawn Love the daughter of Sharon Marie?

No. Her mother was Shannon Harris.

I tried googling Gage Wilson and unfortunately it brought up mostly entries for a male porn actor of the same name  Shocked

What became of Gage?

Still around - last I heard he was living with one of his half-brothers.

Gage and (especially) Michael are just the spitting image of their dad.

I like the Beatles a bit more than the Boys of Beach, I think Brian's band is the tops---really amazing. And finally, I'm liberal. That's it.

Gage reminds me of Dennis when he was younger and Michael looks totally like Dennis in the 70s

Gage definitely has both the Wilson & Love genes... and yes, put a shaggy wig on Michael, and it's scary.

I once randomly bumped into Gage at a beachside bar, completely by accident (he had previously been at a show but neither one of us recognized each other except that we knew we'd seen each other before).  He gave me my first surfing lesson by giving me a sharp shove on the back and informing me, after watching me stagger into the wall, that I was "goofy foot."  We even talked about trading guitar and surf lessons but it never came to pass.  THAT would have been interesting.

My impression: a very intense guy who focuses hard on what he's into...he LOVES surfing!

I never got the chance to meet my half brothers. I have been talking with a few friends of my real dad Dennis Wilson. They all told me i look alot like him, my nose and eyes. My mom told me that years ago.
