Yeah, the first number is the total points earned on lists while the second number is the total number of lists on which that song appeared.

In that case, imagine this 50 Big Ones:...

It's a better crop of songs than the actual tracklisting as far as I'm concerned.  I suppose there are some obligatory inclusions like Surfin' USA, but #5 hit or not I'd rather Rock and Roll Music vanish off the face of the earth.  The new album rightfully deserves some kind of representation as it will, but in fairness a lot of these lists came out before TWGMTR.

I think the one thing that stands out to me above all else though is how All I Wanna Do still hasn't been included on anything other than Sunflower, yet placed 8th on here out of their entire catalogue.

That's a seriously interesting - and good - top 20

An ideal compilation for me would feature something resembling those selections.  Closest existing one I can think of is Good Vibrations: Best of the Beach Boys, and it really only happened because they couldn't use any tracks pre-Pet Sounds.  Not that I have anything against a lot of their early songs, but it usually comes at the cost of the late 60's/early 70's material because of the commercial success.
