I've "bored" a friend with a couple of documentaries about fantastic bands but he can't see the light.
He's 26 and knows nothing of music.
The only way to reach him is through movies.
What movies would you recommend about music or a band or the music biz?

Almost Famous?
The Doors?
Grace of My Heart?
The Wall?
A Hard Day's Night?
This is Spinal Tap?
That Thing You Do?
Drumline?
Amadeus? (I believe he holds a grudge against this movies because of all the awards it recieved while his fav movie ever is The Terminator, which got less attention at the time)

"in this online beach boy community, I've found that you're either correct or corrected. Which in my mind is all in good fun to show ones knowledge of their favorite band."- punkinhead

I think if you need to ask how to educate your friend about music via movies, you can tell fairly obviously where the friend's real interest is -- even if his favourite movie is Terminator.
