There's these Mike love tunes from some time in the 80's on DAR6. One called 'Oh! Those Girls' (funny), one called 'Can't Stop Talking About American Girls' (AWFULX10,000,000), one called 'Hot summer Lovers' (middling) and a cover of 'Let's Dance' (!!!YERR!!!).
Anyone know just why and when these were cut? Was Mike doing a solo album or summat?

"American Girls" is an Adrian Baker song, which he offered to the BB. They passed.

"Hot Summer Lovers" was originally titled "Hot Summer Singles".

"Oh Those Girls" came to him via Curt Becher. The original version (by someone I can't recall) is better.

Cheers!

They passed.
Can see why. It's dire.

What, no "Sun City" or "Skatetown USA"?!

"Oh! Those Girls" is hysterical.  The lyrics are so horrendously bad in an 80s sort of way that you can't help but love it.  "They live on Perrier and yogurt-to-go," indeed.

If you really want to freak, search out  the "A Baker's Dozen" boot from the 90s. It has 13 ML/AB works that range from passable to "HOLY S**T"!

Extended board holidays, Sebastian?
Haven't been up for it lately. Been busy moving home and stuff. Lurked once in a while, tho'.

Imagine -- all the recent controversy, Sebastian is here, and has no part of it.  Who'd've thunk it?

Nice to see you back, S.
