Hmm, well not directly BB-related, but we all know the story on the Flames and it's members Ricky Fataar and Blondie Chaplin.

Good news for those who like their music. Their most famous albums Burning Soul! and Soulfire!! are finally released on CD as a 2-fer.
Until now only an inferiour Best Of CD with tracks from both albums was available, but it was released in the early 90ies and has been long out of print since. But this is the real deal in superb sound quality (in true stereo). So if you want to learn about their music, or are tired of your worn vinyl copies, get this new release. You won't regret it!

This CD is released in South Africa only, but it can be obtained worldwide.

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

I'd rather be forced to sleep with Caitlyn Jenner then ever have to listen to NPP again.

In South Africa they were known as "The Flames" (and where these albums were released). When they were signed by Brother Records and they made their first album in the U.S. they changed it in "The Flame". But it's the same group, only difference is that for the Flame album they wrote their songs themselves. Before that they were mainly a cover band (albeit a VERY good one).

Wow.... they didn't spend much time on their album covers, did they?

But yeah, I downloaded a 2-fer of their first two albums once - quite interesting to hear the future Stig O'Hara doing Beatle covers!!

Well, I can't imagine that some early BB LP covers took that much time (Surfin' USA, Little Deuce Coupe, to name a few)...

The first Flames album's cover is pretty nice btw... (and horribly hard to find)
