I want to expand my surf and BB collection and have been thinking about whether to buy Papa Doo Run Run CD's. I'd like to hear your opinion of this tribute surf band. Jeff Foskett is in the band.

from http://www.papadoo.com/intro.htm

PAPA DOO RUN RUN has been performing continuously since 1965 -
THAT'S OVER 4 DECADES!

They had a hit single in 1975 ("Be True To Your School", RCA).

They were responsible for the re-birth of surf music icons Jan & Dean in the mid 70's, and did
5 major tours with the fames duo.

Then in the 80's they graduated from J&D to the Beach Boys, and performed and recorded with members of that band for the next 2 decades.

During that time, they also performed as "Disneyland's Celebrity House Band" (1975-90).

On their own,  PDRR has earned 2 Gold Records.

And in 1985, a Grammy nomination for their hit album, "California Project".

One of PDRR's guys was a full time member of the Beach Boys for 10 years, and today, in addition to performing with PDRR, is also Brian Wilson's music director.

Another of their guys was in the Beach Boys for 20 years, and before that was with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and has several Gold records of his own.
