Can anyone confirm or deny whether they are or aren't?  LOL

Yes, I've seen them in concert, and they definitely moved around more than wax figures

They do look waxy - three clues I spy:

1) the size of Al's hands – clearly taken off the wax of a much taller man.
2) Mike's hair – clearly taken off the wax of a man with hair.
3) the length of Bruce's limbs – even though he's got eight-foot long legs, he's still able to pinch Carl's bum.

Mine were thoughts of the color of Dennis' lips, as well as Carl's and Alan's, alongside Alan's eyes and stare which appears a bit unnatural.  But, if it is wax, I think it is an excellent job!

Is there an authenticated wax likeness and where is it?  I did a search, which yeilded zilch!

It looks around 1967 / late in the year... Wink

The whole thing just looks pretty unnatural to me. Especially Al's hands.

As I said, I didn't ask whether Brian believed in Ghosts. I'm pretty sure he does though.
Besides I'm not a Beach Boys researcher, I'm a fan.
I also fail to see how the trivia that Alan speaks a certain language is any less than the trivia that he played offense or defense.

Because if he'd played defence, he wouldn't have broken his leg when Brian called one play then decided on another, and BB history could have been very different.  Suppose Mick had taken a later/earlier train ?

We're all fans here (well, trolls excepted of course and GOK, we've had a few corkers here): I'm a fan - hell, I couldn't do this nonsense if it didn't interest, engage, delight and move me.

Now, if only it paid me...

What was Bruce doing hanging out with Neil Young? That seems like an odd fit.

It was "Teenset's First-Ever All-Star Scavenger Hunt and Escapade"; among the other attendees were Jeremy Clyde, Richie Furay, Steve Stills, Drake Levin, Danny Hutton, Dewey Martin, Ann Sternberg( of the UFO), Dyane somebody( of the UFO) and Ginni Ganahl( Teenset's assistant editor)

No, that's not Bruce, that's Robert Shaw in "Jaws".  Shocked

With a bass guitar. Deleted scene, obviously.

Nah, I didn't expect you'd think so. I can send  some other scans from that article( if there's any interest), if I get an email address

Could the answer to the "waxen thing" be stage makeup prior to a TV performance or photo shoot where a desired visual effect was desired?  If you "stretch" the picture on an iPad, it looks as if it could be makeup, for color TV!

Ya, it's pretty thick and obvious make-up. Mostly noticeable on Al and Mike, for some reason.

It could be a very poor application of Photoshop, like a bad colorization job or overuse of filters.
