So, I don't know how reliable this is, but apparently the Rock Band 3 tracklist leaked, and one of the songs is apparently a live version of Good Vibrations.

Yeah this has been rumored for months now. I think it'll happen.

That finally makes the rumor seem plausible in that it's a live version. No vox multis means the studio version can be used (unless it's a solo vocal track only.)

From the video I just saw (http://vimeo.com/14293335) it appears it's the "Live in London/Beach Boys '69" version.  That was the cover art that appeared as they scrolled by.

Damn it, I still don't even have Beatles Rock Band yet! I have some serious catching up to do.

I was thinking it could be the "In Concert" version, but I can see the "Live in London" one being in rock band. The tempo is sped up a bit
and might flow with the game better. Would be interesting.

"Surfin' USA" would have been better, they could have had all the licks in it and a little shuffle to play between the solos.

Too bad The Beach Boys didn't get their own Rock Band game. Who wouldn't want to play Shortnin' Bread as a 15 Big Ones/Love You era Brian?

The live version of 'I Get Around' would be alot better. It's almost like early punk  Rock!

It would be great if they had their Rock Band edition! I would imagine Little Deuce Coupe, Rhonda, Surfin' USA, etc, and the early catalog would really lend itself to the development analogous to the Beatles edition which is so cool!  And they could use the 1967-8 (white suits) era to do the imaging of the guys...or the striped shirt era...or a mix of it all...

It is one of the greatest motivators for kids to learn to play an instrument...(not to mention those making the purchase!) Wink

Something for the kids that is really for the grownups!  LOL
