Here's a cover of Please Let Me Wonder by The King's Singers - the full thing can be found on Spotify. Eerily, the lead singer is a dead ringer for Bruce in his prime.

That is Bruce. Mike is singing on that track too.

That's so wild. I didn't even think to search it on the board because I thought it was just a crazy coincidence. Thanks!

It's
John Sebastian's guide vocal
over Keith Moon's track for his "Don't Worry Baby" cover from
Two Sides of the Moon
. I guess it's "better", even if it is only a guide vocal, though he doesn't sound very enthusiastic about it at any point...

Been surfing the net for more BBs covers & found Wild Honey by Nazareth (1st time I heard this band). Here's an mp3 I uploaded:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/ybrtqz
I'm a fan of covers that don't sound like complete copycats, so it's good by me. Of course, the original is better & who can top Carl anyway, however I think the singer nailed it really well & distorted guitar was pretty cool. Nice replacement for theremin.

Try the whole LP:

(Great "Wild Honey" cover, I agree.)

I think this is the first time Bobby Vee's contemporary (1966) cover of "Here Today" has been on Youtube. I rate it higher than The Beach Boys' version. Note the slight lyric variation - "bit of a whirl" replaces "good love with her".

: fyi, Vee's "Here Today" cover was posted on YT a good chunk of times, it's been referenced on the board not once. As to your 2nd point, give me the original any time soon! Dislike Bobby's voice immensely.

: now, this is some cool find; I'd never have thought someone have made a cover of this utterly rare BBs song. Already downloaded it to my Winamp-collection. Not a bad singing too. Thanks very much!
Recently, I found this channel on YT by a user "posturex1" from Arkansas & gotta say the guy has a knack for doing covers, note-for-note or differed. Check the BBs playlist:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL67E1CF135318DAA8
- I enjoyed his "Little Saint Nick" & "Monster Mash", it's fun & quite authentic. (As an off-top, I also dug the "Go All the Way" (The Raspberries) video, jolly good!)
