Guns n' Roses new tracks
«

I downloaded a few nuGNr tracks that are supposedly on the upcoming album. Anyone hear them? They are a little too techno for me. Only Axl Rose remains with the band.

No I haven't. The prospect of Guns 'n Roses without their lead guitarist and most of their classic members is unsettling. Axl Rose's ego trip. This album won't sell sh*t. Nobody cares about them anymore. Shame. They were really great and had a great legacy until Axl's ego got the best of the band.

Noit that i disagree with you, but maybe you should give the music a chance before saying its a mistake to go solo. At this point i think VR is better, so im not a Axl fan...far from it.

I don't think Axl Rose should go solo, he should disband the group or better yet, check his fucking ego and invite back the Appetite For Destruction crew for a farewell tour and proper album.

or better yet, spend another 15 years in seclusion working on them. Velvet Revolver could do with a similar period of silence, just for me.

I couldn't disagree with you guys anymore. Velvet Revolver is awful and none of those guys could write a song to save their lives. Axl and Izzy wrote all the songs Slash just plays great lead. The new songs sound great a thousand times more intriguing then VR. Bring on the flaming.

They're booked for Rock in Rio and the download festival. I'd like to see this line-up. Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Robin Finck, Tommy Stinson, Slash, Matt Sorum, and Dizzy Reed.

I'm listening to them now, and I suppose I can appreciate them the way I appreciate the Mike/Bruce/David of the Beach Boys Salute NASCAR CD, but it's not Guns 'n Roses to me. Axl still has his voice, that should count for something. The tracks on the whole are nice, nothing special, but if this is the best Axl can do, I'm not wholly impressed. Maybe the album will change my mind.

Double jackass.
I'll quadruple it, Jason: the new tracks are terrific. And I like both Velvet Revolver -- who are great -- and this new Axl stuff is surprisingly great, too, and I expected to hate the hell out of it.

I've given them another listen. Yeah, I like them. And they're just demos. Imagine the finished album.

Who wrote the GnR songs back in their glory days? Appetite For Destruction thru Use Your Illusion. Did they write the songs together?

I can't listen to them now as i'm on work, but i will definatly check them out when i get home.
To me the ultimate lineup would be; Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and well, drughead or not, Steven Adler. Sure, bring on Dizzy, but to me he never played and important role.
