I loaded up several topics in several tabs and they all loaded up fine just now...except this one. It took 7 minutes ( I timed it). Irony is truly ironic...

It was OK for Sunday afternoon, then by evening back to continually loading. Will someone please do something, because this is seriously annoying. Every other site I visit is fine, so not my laptop.

Well, whereas I used to have next to no problems, now, although the main menus load just fine, the individual threads won't, to the point where I can only read the most recent post. The page is continually loading. The only way around it is to hit reply and try to read the microscopic font.

This is since about 11pm last night UK time.

It keeps taking ages for it to load for me too.

Well... maybe it's time the Chairman of the Board flexed his executive muscle and got the problem sorted ?

This is eerily reminiscent of how the old Cabinessence board died a death: the tech problems mounted, the board 'owner' couldn't be arsed and in the end, it just rolled over. Don't want this to happen here as there's a HUGE amount of irreplaceable info in here.

i also use mozilla firefox and i get the same "waiting for feeds.feedburner.com" message while waiting for the page to load. i again ran a trace while waiting for this page to load and it timed out at the same location as when i ran a trace for www.smileysmile.net/board. i would check out this site but what do i know. it always times out for me..... fyi....

Started a few days ago for me...

No problem loading site or forums...

But loading individual threads takes up to 2 minutes to completely load...

"waiting for feeds.feedburner.com" is the message displayed at the bottom of my Firefox browser
as its trying to load in the thread...

This is without a doubt one of my favourite sites but it's getting to the point that it's such a monumental pain in the butt to connect all the time that I'm wondering how much longer I can be bothered with it. Perhaps the Chairman would like to pull his thumb out of his a- hole and sort it out as this has been going on for months now. Do the site monitors have the means to contact him? Maybe we should all en mass to the blueboard and take that over eh?

Occasionally I have probs loading it but I put that down to my broadband provider (BT) -  plenty of folk in our little village experience probs getting anywhere on the internet, at the same time periods.

Is everyone experiencing probs at the same time?  A cousin of mine has gone back to using dial-up as there're so few folk using it now that it works faster than our broadband hook-up!

If the feedsburner.com issue happens again remember Andrew's tip ,which is to log in and click reply even if you don't wish to post. Then scroll down to view the entire history of the thread in smaller print. Or use Internet Explorer which for the first time in the history of mankind was loading pages faster than Firefox.

Ditto. at home, individual pages load quickly, but at work, getting connected at all is a huge problem.

Maybe clearing your cache will help...I did that after Chuck made the adjustment, and I've had NO problems since.

No smileysmile.net on campus for two weeks now. Clearing the cache makes no difference. Choice of browser makes no difference. The domain does not resolve, period.
