SS.net Technical Problems

I know this was touched on last week, but just who else is having problems connecting to this site? For me its at 50-50 as in one day on, another off, and a whole week off 3 weeks ago. Problem is on 2 computers in various locations, including home.

I have very occasional problems - yesterday morning for example, so I just waited for a few hours (and did other, real life stuff, of course) and behold !, it was restored. This is unusual, though - usually a few pokes on the 'refresh' button does the job. I access from home, never had a problem lasting longer than 12-18 hours: 99% of the time, no problem at all.

i aso have this problem. Mostly after 2 or 3 times of trying  i get the site.

For at least a month, there have been days at a time when I cannot get to the site (as recently as about an hour ago and the preceding 2 days or so).

I've been having problems getting this site for the past month or so, especially on campus. The home connection is more reliable, but I still don't get the site every day. Also, the number of times I try to connect makes no noticeable difference.

It really is hit and miss with me...more miss.  I hit refresh maybe 10 times and then just give up.  Try later...no luck...hit refresh...sometimes I access.  I never get the site on first try anymore.

I only access this site from one (home) computer but I've not had a single incident the the past few months in making immediate contact.  FWIW.

I never get it on the first try anymore either. Sometimes I can get it after hitting refresh a few times. If it doesn't work after the 10th try, I wait an hour or two and then I usully get it. I lost an entire day about a week ago.

Over here, the board was inaccessible for most of yesterday. So I got on with real life stuff.

Same here Andrew, first time I've ever had any problem getting on the board but finally around 11:00pm it let me on.

It's been hit or miss with me the last few weeks, mostly the latter.  I do find it's easier to get on later at night (it's about 10:40 ET here).

I know as much as you all do. Problem is that the moderators aren't resonsible for the technical side of the board. I've already forwarded this problem to the chairman of the board. Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

I talked to a network guy today, told him about the problems this board's been having, and asked if he had any ideas what might be causing the outages. He thinks the problem could be on the ISP side of things (server outages, etc.).

This site hasn't been available on campus for over a week now.

I played around a bit with the forum to see what's causing problems. The server reported a lot of errors in the forum itself; I corrected them. I don't know if it's fixed the problem, but keep us mods informed.

Well, whereas I used to have next to no problems, now, although the main menus load just fine, the individual threads won't, to the point where I can only read the most recent post. The page is continually loading. The only way around it is to hit reply and try to read the microscopic font.

This is since about 11pm last night UK time.

Started a few days ago for me...

No problem loading site or forums...

But loading individual threads takes up to 2 minutes to completely load...

"waiting for feeds.feedburner.com" is the message displayed at the bottom of my Firefox browser
as its trying to load in the thread...

I can see one post, then it takes about 5-10 minutes for the page to load a little bit more so I can scroll down to the following post in a topic. It does the same thing for the entire topic. So if a topic has more than one full page of posts, for me it's not even worth trying.
