Just got an album called Shifting Sands by The Sunchymes.
Very good album. Lots of Beach Boys sounding harmonies, chord changes and arrangements.

You hear that Pet Sounds and Smile are a big influence here especially on tracks like 'Down at pallisades' . Thoroughly recomended. The myspace page is www.myspace.com/thesunchymes and cd baby page is
www.cdbaby.com/artist/THESUNCHYMES. A real treat for Brian Wilson fans.

Hi David

I have got this album too and I love it. Great harmonies, hooks and arrangements. Nice to see someone is actually making music like this these days

Best

Excuse me! But this board is for 'other discussions' and I have every right to mention
and support other good music I have discovered. You will note that this board contains a number of discussions about a variety of bands so I don't see what your problem is

@ David Beach,

It is not the fact that you post about your band (or your favorite band) and the BB flavoured music you make. More people here do so. But it does draw our attention when a member of this board needs more than a year to post only 2 messages, both not on-topic. And the fact that another newbee suddenly turns up and only replies to your message, raises some eye brows as well.
And that makes us wonder if you became a member of this board because you want to participate in discussing about the Beach Boys, or just to advertise your music.

So - in short - your intentions may be good, but your (lack of) activity on this board doesn't show much interest in this messageboard, that's all.

But - hey - maybe you're a daily visitor, reading every on-topic post there is, but you're simply not so much a writer.  Smiley

Rule of thumb, think BEFORE you post. And THINK how it may affect someone else's feelings.

Check out the Beach Boys Starline website, the place for pictures of many countries Beach Boys releases on 45.

Listening to you I get the music; Gazing at you I get the heat; Following you I climb the mountain; I get excitement at your feet
Right behind you I see the millions; On you I see the glory; From you I get opinions; From you I get the story

@ Smile Holland

Thanks for your post. I usually read the board on my lunch break but don't usually have time to post.  Judging by the reaction to this its better if I remain as a reader and not a writer.

All the best

David
