Hey, don't look at me for the bad pun - blame the Game Show Network!
Anyhow, Carnie's new show premieres tomorrow night, and I see Aunt Diane in this little clip:

I wonder if Dad or "Uncle" Al will stop by a visit at any point.

This is a little crazy. I hope it doesn't cause Brian to go back to bed for another 5 years.  Undecided

I guess I'm one of the only ones who's somewhat looking forward to this, lol. Mostly out of hope that Brian will make a cameo somewhere down the line, but I kind of doubt that. Should be entertaining, though; I think Carnie is really funny.

Amazing how she takes after her dad. Facewise, and otherwise.

Any bets on how long it will take before she mentions that she had to listen to 'Be My Baby' everyday while she was growing up? 1 episode, 2 episodes?

I know what you mean. It kind of shook me up a bit; I kept going back to watch the preview to catch that brief second. That line, "Everything is old and nothing is new..." turned out to be prophetic, in a different way...

Anyway, I know I only saw a thirty second preview and I know I'm probably overreacting, but are they, in some subliminal way, trying to pull a Landy/Brian Is Back saga, by throwing Carnie out there in front of everybody - mental and physical problems and all - just to entertain. I'm not saying they're taking advantage of Carnie, I'm sure she's perfectly willing to do this (fame, attention, $$$$$$), but is this another example of exploiting "the Wilson legend", and in some way, eerily echoing Brian?

eh...She's Aunt Dee Dee now Andrew.

As for Brian, his 'tough management' seems to have had the good sense to stay away from this so far. As has, it would seem from the 'cast', Marilyn. Good call.

It does seem a little exploitative, but that's what reality TV is. There's that show about the husband and wife and their 8 children, which is total exploitation of the kids and the dysfunctional marriage of the parents, there's Supernanny, which Wendy was on, Big Brother, The Bad Girls Club (oh man, that one is bad), etc. That's the reason I'm not a huge fan of reality shows; first of all, why should I/we care, and it does seem like a cry for attention. But I always have to make an exception for anything BB's related, lol.

With everything she has done to confront and manage Brian's mental illness, I wonder if Melinda is cringing at this?

Well, it certainly shows that Brian isn't the only nutty one in the bunch. Diane -- who knew?

And Marilyn doesn't seem to be in it much -- she seems far saner than anyone else involved in the whole affair.

And people wonder why people close to Brian don't think much of the family.

Yes, it was quite the show. I really like all the beeping censoring. For uncensored views watch it onlineat gsn something...
nice to see that her hair stylist and his partner are twins.
I think it should be a fun show.
hard to imagine that Carnie was really "broke" tho. Something in her heritage, presumably?
