Does anyone have any solid information on who the legal employers were for: Landy I, Pamplin & Stan Love, Landy II? Were they employed by Marilyn/Brian Wilson or by BRI or by other entities?

1975/76 Landy was apparently engaged by Marilyn. I think Pamplin & Love were employed by BRI. Landy 1982/91 was employed by BRI too, I recall.

Does anyone think it's possible that Brian will add any Canadian dates for the Pet Sounds tour, particularly in Toronto?

He just recently added some dates, so I think the tour is continuing to grow.  So, there might be some Canadian dates added.

There's a show in Buffalo on 9/28, but per the BW website, it looks like it's sold out.

It was the link image that caught my attention.  Surprisingly the image was really THAT small in the article.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/music/news/7-songs-that-sound-like-theyre-about-women-but-arent/ar-AAbjFM5#page=1

Page 2- "CRACKLIN' ROSIE," BY NEIL DIAMOND (a bottle of wine)
Page 3- "ELENORE," BY THE TURTLES (anti-record label)
Page 4- "SEXY SADIE," BY THE BEATLES (Maharishi Mahesh Yogi... well, that explains the link image)
Page 5- "ANA'S SONG (OPEN FIRE)," BY SILVERCHAIR (Anorexia Nervosa)
Page 6- "DELILAH," BY QUEEN (Freddy Mercury's cat)
Page 7- "SHANNON," BY HENRY GROSS (Carl's dog... I swear I had no idea that was going to be in there!)
Page 8- "HELEN WHEELS," BY PAUL MCCARTNEY AND WINGS (Paul's Land Rover)

When I was in C.A.P. I heard a cadence chant called "Irene".  Only heard it once so I don't remember most of it.  But it had things like Irene standing in the night, slick, slim, and bare... running your hand over her body... turning her over again and again... and the last two lines were, "Irene, Irene, you're really grand.  You're an F-16 in the fighter command."

When did Bruce transition from playing an electric piano (a wurlitzer i believe) to a synthesizer on stage?

What is the band's all time best selling album? I'm taking a shot in the dark and saying it's either Pet Sounds, Endless Summer, or Sounds of Summer, but I'm having a hard time finding accurate sales figures.

why doesn't someone here in the know, get Mike Love to do a Q and A like Brian did?
let us ask some fan questions.

I don't think that would go over as well.

I'm not a Mike detractor but I think questions would have to be carefully considered so that we didn't get the same by-script answers highlighted in (for example) the latest interview thread here, and to ensure that we took Mike beyond that comfort zone.

For example, don't ask:
"Was there a sense of competirion between the Beach Boys and the Beatles in the 60s?"

Do ask:
"How come you and your best buddy George - the titular 'Pisces Brother' honoured in one of your most recent compositions, that you currently perform in concert - never hung out together after you celebrated your birthdays at the Maharishi's place in Rishikesh?"

I'd love to see a QnA happen but I'd love to see how others propose getting original informative answers?

maybe all may be revealed in the upcoming 'mike' book. but if it's anything like his interviews of today, it's one I will never care to read, or ever buy.

Disagree. As with Brian, or Alan, I think he'd respond well to questions that he'd not been asked a gazillion times before. Engage the brain, not the auto-pilot.

Yes indeed, a Mike Q&A. I think, judging from the Brian Q&A, we'd have to be content simply with answers, and with the fact that there was a Mike Q&A.

like Brian, he could answer the questions that he wanted to. No pressure.
Get it away from these so called interviewer's, and do a fan thing.
Mike particularly has greeted the fans very well after a show in my experience.
He stands around for autographs and photo's and Bruce sometimes as well.
Let's get Mike to do a Q & A here!

What kind of stuff do you have on your vegetarian pizza?

Mike, what is your favourite Tv/Movie?

Mike, you stay fit, what is your daily routine? etc etc

and please fans! no what part of 'blah blah' did you write?
no more 'are you in touch with Brian?' type questions
no more ' so is Al with you and are you and Brian getting back together?' questions.
it's a little old hat and boring.
new questions.

I'd be in favor of a Mike Love Q&A on here if he wishes to do so.

I would think fans would have better questions than the ones that come out in those fluff pieces in the Poloka Post every summer.

Why is the tracklisting on the cover of almost every pre (and some post)-Pet Sounds album out of order?

Well why were they beforehand, there doesn't seem to be any reason behind it.

I don't know, but I've always assumed it's because it was a busy business and the covers were printed before the actual album was pressed, so they didn't know the running order of the tracks. But seriously, it would be nice to hear the real reason.

I see the original question has been edited to read "on the cover" where it didn't before...

Hm? I'm pretty sure I just edited in "(and some post)", not "on the cover".

Does anybody know if there is a mix of Rock and Roll Music that has the best parts from the Made in Calidornia Mix (Brian's falsetto parts) and Best of the Brother Years version (kickass drums + bass synth sounds)? I personally like the Best of the Brother Years version the most, but it's missing the high "oo-oo-oohs", which are cool. Makes me wonder how much great stuff was lost during the mixing of the rest of the 15 Big One tracks. There's a lot stuff going on there, they should release a remix of the whole album with all the outtakes.
