There's a nice fan video for Cabin Essence here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u38toJ2HhqAb I like it so well this video should be declared official! Which mix is this? Sounds somehow a bit unfamiliar to my ears.

Pretty sure it's a fan mix. Very good slideshow, but lacking the "Truck Drivin' Man" underdub*, the track is fatally compromised. (* no such term ? There is now )

Probably most of us have seen photos from this shoot, which looks like to be from 1966. Two questions: 1. Where's Al? (obviously it's not the first time Al missed a photo shoot) 2. More interestingly, who is the sixth guy? It's possible that it's just a random person. The Buffalo Springfield did that a couple of times with Bruce Palmer when he was MIA. The cover for their unreleased "Stampede" album features 4 band members plus a man in a hat looking down, obscuring his face, which many people believe to be Palmer, but some say is a stand in. Still, It looked like the band was all there when in reality they weren't. Perhaps the Boys were trying something similar by making it seem like Al was there when he really wasn't.

Could you define "Brian's Smile" and "Beach Boys Smile" for me?

Metaphorically, they're both slightly lopsided. And all the better for it.

I had to look up "lopsided" before I got it. Didn't know that word yet. But NOW I get it.

I'm glad you enjoyed my tribute to one of The Beach Boys greatest records, so masterfully re-mixed in stereo by....ermmm..who was it now? I think it may have come from Smile AD Stereo Mix V 2.0. I wish I could give proper credit where credit's due, but it's the best sounding mix/balance that I've ever heard. So thanks again...whoever.

Does Jeff Foskett have a brother named Michael that works at a Barnes & Noble in California?
I would like to bring this question back into attention.

I would like to bring this question back into attention. I tried a variety of permutations and found some Michael Fosketts in California with siblings listed but not a Jeffrey in sight. Did the same for Jeff, also without success.

yesterday at Trader Joe's (i work at one in S.F.) i saw some dude that looked just like Jeff. Balding w/ hair cropped to one side, kind of a turkey neck, similar face. He was with a little boy.

Guess this would be the best place to post this.
For those with access to the AXS TV network, it will be showing 'Brian Wilson and Friends' on Friday December 4. Check local listings-,the time in my neck of the woods (US Central Time) is 12:20 pm. Guess this was the Las Vegas show.

Noticed today that in 2007, Brian and Melinda Wilson sold two LA-area houses - one at Arrowhead and one in Beverly Hills. Any idea why the sudden housing dump?
