Was Murry rumoured to have written the lyrics to "'Til I Die"?

Might sound a strange question, but I have a memory of reading that somewhere and I can't remember where now.

Possible responses:

a) no, no-one has ever rumoured that, you hallucinated or dreamt it.
b) yes, it was rumoured, and the rumour was true
c) yes, it was rumoured, but it's preposterous and untrue
d) yes it was rumoured, but who can say what is the truth?

Why was "I Wanna Be Around/Workshop Song" referred to as "Friday Night"?

My obvious guess was wrong ... it was recorded on a Tuesday.

For those of you who speak Spanish, what about the Boys' accents on the Spanish version of "Kokomo"? Are the pronunciations okay? Is Carl's Spanish better than Mike's or vice versa?

This is for the Dutch contingent...

I noticed this book in a local book store today and wondered if it rang any bells with anyone:

I noticed this book in Donner book store in Rotterdam today and wondered if it rang any bells with anyone:

I have it. An 'okay' book for the occasional fan. But I found quite a few errors... Written a bit too hasty, a hurried product when the 2012 reunion took place.

Not necessarily Beach Boys related, but how widespread was this look back then?  This particular beard and hat combination.

Was The Lonely Sea ever performed live, either by the Boys or any individual member? I'm thinking not but would love to hear otherwise. Come to mention it I bet a 2015 BW version could be breathtaking.

Ah, yes, it's that kind of Oregon Lumberjack Chic that's so trendy right now thanks to Fleet Foxes, Justin Vernon and all those guys who've followed in their wake. Mikes isn't quite as authentic as he'd obviously shaved for several years before deciding to grow a beard, whereas the modern trend is for a beard of never-before-shaven fluff.

Can anyone recommend any good reading (books, articles, anything really) surrounding the Love You, Adult/Child period? Cheers in advance :-)

Mike's okay. Carl pronounces "corazón" and "acariciándonos" as if he was born in Spain, which is awkward in the rest of the world.

This edition of David Leaf's Pet Sounds fanzine comes to mind:

Thanks! Does that mean that Carl actually had a better pronunciation, although very Spain-Spanish?

Mmmm. I can understand Mike a little better. (There's concert tapes from a Spain tour in 1990 where he and Al speak relatively decent Spanish). Nevertheless, it was embarrassing and unnecessary enough so that no radio in any Spanish-speaking country ever played it as far as I know. It is a world-wide rarity.

Murry wrote all the lyrics to Breakaway according to Brian, but Til I Die is BW's baby.

Which is kind of funny to me because when I first heard Breakaway, I misheard the lyrics in the bridge as "Found out it was in my head, found out it was my dad"... Cheesy
