What Beach Boys song has the fastest tempo?

I'd have to think this sets their record for a live performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxXWjR6q5u4

I love that version of Shut Down.

Though not a Beach Boys song per se, their version of Johnny B. Goode from Concert sets a brisk pace:

According to my jogging experiences, the fastest studio track is "Boogie Woodie", the only one too fast for me to jog to. The last song fast enough to fit my tempo is "Fun, Fun, Fun", all later ones I had to speed up. Also too fast for me to jog to is "What'd I Say".

OK, who knows a BB studio recording faster than 186 bpm?

They never rocked harder than on "What'd I Say".

How many bpm is the 12-inch disco version of "Here Comes The Night"?

For those who can figure such things out, what's the bpm on live Shut Down? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxXWjR6q5u4

Also, this could probably become its own thread, but regarding that "What'd I Say" boot, there's some arguments in the YouTube comments whether it's Al, Carl or Brian on lead. It's definitely not Brian because I hear him doing BVs. The consensus in the comments is that it's Al, but this thread seems to indicate that it's Carl: http://smileysmile.net/board/index.php/topic,11002.0.html.

Also, the sax in the song. Once again, the above thread says it was probably the sax player for the Surfaris. Makes sense, because if Mike had those skills, I doubt he would have ever struggled through Shut Down.

Such a great live boot of The Beach Boys, though. I wish they had upped the tempo more often. I don't know how many bands were playing that fast in those days.

Are we talking the same WIS that appeared on an official rarities album, albeit by stealth, back in the (erm) late 70s/early 80s (?)?

"What'd I Say": I'd have thought it was Al on lead, but "The Beach Boys In Concert" (book) states it's Carl.

The sax does sound to be too good to be Mike. Too bad there's no footage of that song.

How many different versions exist of "Pamela Jean?"

By my count:

Survivors - Pamela Jean
Beach Boys - Car Crazy Cutie
Super Stocks - Muscle Beach Party
Annette - Muscle Beach Party
Frankie Avalon - Muscle Beach Party
Dick Dale and the Deltones - Muscle Beach Party

Did I miss any?

Also, how many of these shared backing tracks?

And why did Brian keep re-writing this same tune? I really enjoy it, but he definitely got it right the first time with Pamela Jean.

I'd imagine all the Usher productions shared the same track. The BB version certainly doesn't use the Survivors track.

What Beach Boys song has the fastest tempo?

I'd have to think this sets their record for a live performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxXWjR6q5u4

I love that version of Shut Down.
Start watching Dennis from around 39 seconds in, and up to where Mike starts his sax "solo". Jesus!  Shocked Before Keith Moon, there was Dennis Wilson.  Grin By the way, I actually think this song was performed faster around the time of the 1981 tour.

I would love to own MiC on vinyl. That would be a really expensive set, but it would be so great. The 4CD Sly Stone box set was released on 8 discs of vinyl.
Anyone with me?
