Can anybody tell me what those girls are yelling to Brian on the live version of Gettin' Hungry on disc 2 of Sunshine Tomorrow? My ears have been failing me lately. Sounds like "hey Brian how's your dad?" or "hey Brian how's your dog?". Silly question, I know...

According to Ebb and Flow, Brian "had been photographed a lot with Louie and Banana for teen magazines in '66".

On Sunshine Tomorrow, in GAme of Love, who sings the little bit after the second verse and second chorus ("the purpose of a man is to love a woman like a woman love a man now..."?

It's Carl, right?  I'm 99% sure it is but sometimes I can almost hear Brian in there.

As an aside, this version of the song blows my mind.  They managed to make it so seriously sexy.

Yup, thatís 100% Carl on the bridge. And I agree, it totally exceeded my expectations!

Mike did some TV appearances in Japan in 1990 with the Endless Summer Beach Band as I recall, so those are out there somewhere. I think I have some of that on old VHS somewhere. It used to be on YouTube as I recall.

I think M&B run on the smell of an oily rag when they tour. They seem to get plenty of bookings with just 2 members. David would bump up the costs I guess.

I reckon it's a pair of temple blocks (in C# and G#, according to my trusty tuning fork):

I think the 1990 Japan stuff that was on YouTube was on that epic BB YouTube channel that got pulled a little while back. Hopefully they'll re-upload most of it.

For those with access to the Decades network the Beach Boys will be on the Best of Ed Sullivan Show tomirrow, Nov 29, at 5:00 and 11:00 Eastern time.
It will also feature the immortal Topo Gigio!

On a side note, wish I could have been a fly on the wall when the BBs were backstage before going on, if they were watching some of acts on stage - particularly in 1964.

Gabo, not to my knowledge. He has a wife named Harriet and kids. Although, I can't speak for his true sexual attractions.

Also, do any nice concert (preferably soundboard) recordings exist for Mike and Bruce's band?

There was an (inexplicably) contentious discussion about Bruce's marital status in a thread from a few years ago that, as of 2014 anyway, answered the most basic questions:

I heard on Reddit from an ostensible Beach Boys "insider" that said as much about Bruce, at least during the 1960s. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised, by his campy personality and mannerisms, love of short shorts, idolization of Doris Day, musical style, the list continues...

Does anyone know why Help Me Rhonda w/the alternate Help You Rhonda lyrics was released as such on Made in California, but titled "Help Me, Rhonda" on Sunshine Tomorrow?

When the Beach Boys re-recorded Help Me "Ronda" and changed the title to Help Me "Rhonda" did the sudden name change apply to every future rendition/arrangement? In other words if one of the guys recorded another new version of HMR would they ever consider spelling it "Ronda" just for fun or does it always have to be "Rhonda"? I realize that "Rhonda" was the hit, but poor ol' "Ronda"...doesn't she count too? police
