Does anybody know how long Banana and Louie lived for? Were they still around during the seventies? (Yeah I know, terrible question...just wondering though).

Banana was still around in 1971 as he's mentioned in the October 21, 1971 edition of Rolling Stone magazine, "The Beach Boys: A California Saga."

I never really knew for sure which dog was which. Was Louie the smaller dog?

Banana and Louie are really great names for dogs, by the way.

There was a third dog mentioned in that 1973 interview posted some months ago. You know, the one where Brian got a massage from Diane.

I'm guessing they died in the late 70's, but I'm not sure how old they were circa 1966.

Pic is from 1976 or thereabouts, taken at 10452.

Possibly, but this one seems more likely:

I think this was the photo used in rolling stone's review of 15 big ones.

It was.

In said review, they say Friends is the clearest predecessor to 15 Big Ones, which seems odd.

Could someone post the full comment that Brian made about Rap Music?

I remember seeing it around here once, but I can't seem to find it again

Is there available an acapella version of the disco HCTN? There's the instrumental one and I actually tried to make one myself, but my skills are pretty poor so that didn't quite work out... The backing vocals are just so awesome. Would be cool to make own mix out of them.

If only I had the technology to make mixes such as this....I would definately take each album and do a stack-o-vocals and and stack-o-tracks...that'd be real interesting. Has anyone done this?

IIRC, it's Billy Hinsche.

What organ was used on "The Rocking Surfer" and "Wendy"? I've never been one of the types to hear a sound and immediately want to emulate it by buying the correct gear, but holy sh*t I love the sound of this thing (if it is the same instrument used on both songs).

yeah ho

Re-recorded by the BB or another artist?

I always attributed that to Dennis. Could be wrong, of course.

Well, yeah that's what the site says too, but is that quote legit? Or did someone just make that up? I think it's a great quote and would like to find about it's origins. Google search didn't help me so I thought maybe someone here would know more?
