Nobody believes me but I swear up and down the 1990 version was on vinyl. I wish I had picked it up the one time I saw it.. Probably a UK, German, or Dutch pressing.

I know only UK edition 1990
Side A matrix: CRB 32438 A1
Side B matrix: CRB 32438 B1
I think there is original German press, because on single you can see cover "Pacific Ocean Blue"

Lemon, MBE means the 1990 reissue on Epic.
When the first 70-albums were re-released on CD, at least 3 of them were also released - albeit limited - on vinyl again. Sunflower, Surf's Up and Holland are definitely out there (as I have them). As far as I know these are Dutch pressings, but when they (sometimes) pop up on Ebay the seller is either German or British, so it might very well be that they were made specifically for the German and British market. I can't remember ever having seen advertisements in The Netherlands of these vinyl re-issues.
MBE swears he has seen at least one copy of POB on Epic vinyl as well, but thus far we've never seen a copy of it anywhere again. And it could very well be that the other 70ies albums were issued on Epic vinyl as well, but - again - we're still waiting for someone to show them to us.
Here's an example: Sunflower (with apologies for the average quality, I should make new scans...)

2SMiLE-Holland: Ok! Thanks for information.
I think this UK version (CRB 32438) is reissue but I don`t know which it`s year because vinyl is very thin and cover with sticker "Collector`s Choice".

Let's talk Pacific Ocean Blue! Released in '77 Dennis Wilson shined through the '70's lending his songs to Beach Boys albums that were essentially much better with Dennis' songs. Take a look at the personnel Dennis had on this album and the result was just an absolutely great production! Dennis RIP you have been missed by millions!

So how on earth is it possible that no publicity at all was made for this "re-release"? One would expect that they would try to cash in on the success of the Legacy edition.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'm going to order this one.

I went into HMV yesterday looking through the 'W' vinyl section for "No Pier Pressure" when this jumped out at me! I had been thinking of buying it online even though I have the 3 LP Sundazed edition. I couldn't believe they had it in stock so bought it.
Needless to say they didn't have NPP, which I kind of expected. But the surprising thing was that there was no Beach Boys vinyl even though the bigger Glasgow store has all the recent 70s vinyl re-issues.
If someone had told Dennis in 1977 that nearly 40 years later his solo LP would still be getting stocked and sold in a record shop before his big brother's and the Beach Boys I am sure he would have felt quite proud. The other aspect is that someone at the Music on Vinyl label is doing their job and someone at Capitol/UMe is not!
The vinyl is excellent, nice and flat and very quiet. The sleeve is a faithful recreation of the original, and the label is the same as the original Caribou Records one.

Funny that you post this. I just ordered the MOV reissue from Amazon, because I haven't been able to track down a reasonably priced original. It should be here Thursday.
