... with all the fed-up posters on the Blueboard posting about how fed-up they are with people who are fed-up with leaving Brian Wilson concerts feeling fed-up?

Frankly, I'm fed-up of it.

Solution: stop reading the Blueboard.

What's a Blueboard?  Cheesy

It is basically a Stalinist message board, that only allows one state of mind and one manner of expression: 110% praise of El Leader Máximo, aided by 110% censorship, North-Korean style, and a limited vocabulary. E.g.: if you name Bruce Johnston's album 'Going Pubic' by accident, and you then discover there is no 'edit'-function, you can be certain that you will get a lifetime ban. And a house visit by a SWAT-team, that will, um, 'inspect' your music collection for counterfeit material.

I know of people who spoke innocently about a new pair of boots having cost an arm and a leg. They got the waterboarding treatment by the Blueboard police.

I stopped going there a long time ago.  If you won't allow criticism on a board, it's very boring quickly.

I wonder if I'll get that free copy I was promised... When Al didn't do the European tour with Brian, his management said that everyone who'd send in a ticket stub would get a free copy of the album... I sent mine in and was told I was put on this list...

No, you're mistaken. If you sent in your ticket stub you're showing that, by not saving the stub, you don't appreciate historical artifacts. You were put on the 'Lifetime Ban For Not Showing Due Respect' list.  I've heard it's quite long.

why are people fed up?

They ate too many hamburgers and sniffed too much washing powder, that is why. Not just anyone can create great tunes by these means.

I reeeallly want to go to one of Brian's concerts one day. To me, it seems like these people are taking advantage of it, but then there are people like myself who haven't gotten a chance to go to one yet, lol. So they should consider themselves lucky that they've been to enough of his concerts to be fed up with them.

I felt the same, First time I saw Brian was about two weeks ago. Now I'm dying to go to another one. He's doin a pretty big US tour in a few months, I'm sure he's droppin by somewhere near you, if not that's really unlucky.

The closest he'll be to me (TX) is his Illinois show, and that's actually the day after my birthday. But mother has an issue with me missing school to go, and I would have to travel alone and she's leery about that, even though I'll be turning 18. I'm still trying to change her mind though, hehe Cheesy

How's this for a sure-to-be popular answer? Listen to your mom. And yes, now I am OFFICIALLY old (at 33).

I just turned 19 and I was planning on flying alone from Ireland to Glasgow to see Brian, but in the end I ended up getting my girlfriend to come along,  she recently got a college grant so she could afford it  Grin

That's a though one, If I was you I'd miss the day of school, but it's all down to the folks I guess.

It is much easier to do this in the UK.  Grin

That said, not something I'd do. Not every gig of a tour: most I've done is four nights of BWPS at the RFH and one provincial gig.

Over a period of.....ages really, I got sick of all the usual suspects with ther gushtastic blind acceptance of the BW party line and it kind of came to a head during the last few days - I put a few things on there that management and blue meanies alike clearly took exception to and either someone complained or the missus threw her toys out the pram - not to worry.
