Found this on the Capitol Beach Boys-messageboard:

There's also a snippet of a solo recording of "She believes in love again" in there

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Maybe this is the re-recording Bruce has done with Chris Farmer in 2007.

However, thanks for the link; very interesting!

A lot of praise for the Jonas Brothers in there. And good for Bruce to note it: he's right on to give them credit, as a different sort of teen act than the kinds of wholly manufactured boy bands of previous years. (I'm not a fan of them--I'm not a 12-year-old girl, after all--but anytime someone is writing, singing and playing, they get credit from me for that.)

By the way, very enjoyable. Thanks so much for linking to this. 40+ minutes of in-depth stuff.

I think the JoBros are going to go the way of the Osmonds, Partridge Family, Leif Garrett, New Edition, New Kids, Backtreet Boys, etc.

Those acts all have different reputations, so which way would that be?

For what it's worth, Hanson (who I am unabashedly a fan of) are still around, making music on their own label. As they always have, they write their own songs and play their own music.

Down, after their fanbase grows up...then they'll get a VH1 reality show!

So in other words like every other pop music act on the planet?

Bruce probably has come out of the BB experience the sanest of anyone. Shame he has the Jonas Bros. on the brain though ...
