Hey, whatdoyaknow?  I do more than Beach Boys covers!

Either way, here is a song I wrote about a month ago, entitled "Piper Of Your Dreams." Everything you hear is me, from the composition to the recording and the production. Nonetheless, it's just merely a demo, so I know a lot of things aren't top notch (it was all written and recorded within a couple of hours, which explains things), but I thought it could be helpful to hear your comments on what's here so far, so I hope you listen and enjoy it! Thanks!

So, here it is: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=910733&songID=7907985

Link 2, if the other one doesn't work: http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=119441

Enjoy!

I like it, Matthew. Creepy, in a good way, and reminiscent to my ears of some Paul McCartney in ways I can't put my finger on. My quibble/recommendation would be that I'd love to hear you sing out more often, rather than shiftiing into the falsetto so quickly. My guess (though I could be wrong) is that you could push your natural range higher if you sang more forcefully, and at times I think the song warrants that. But it's often in some transitional periods, and I know it can be tricky to bounce back and forth.

While your covers are always fun to hear, I'd love to keep hearing originals. I know everyone here likes putting up BBs tunes (presumably to drum up interest and get others to listen), I'm always interested in (and sometimes impressed by) our members' original music.

Nice song and quite dark too. I like the restrained vocal, it suits the mood of the song. The melody is lovely.

I like this very much too. Like your voice and the echo you used on it. Don't know what else to say at the moment, but I really think it's good

a diseased bunch of mo'fos if there ever was one… their beauty is so awesome that listening to them at their best is like being in some vast dream cathedral decorated with a thousand gleaming American pop culture icons.

PRO SHOT BEACH BOYS CONCERTS - LIST

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.
