Hello
I've stuck a new song up on myspace called 'I like the look of you', it's a rare example of me writing around 3 chords (with variations on the bass), it's got a sort of rock'n'roll feel when it gets going but is quite a simple arrangement. Anyway, any feedback/criticism is very much welcomed, it's at:

A very nice song. Very easy on the ear (which is meant in a positive way) and cool harmonies.

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Nice song and good production! Reminds me of Solo-McCartney. Oh and nice that you put the "dat dat daooh" in the background  Grin

BTW, that is a fine Telecaster you have there  Cool
Best wishes!

Thanks Christoph, and thanks for accepting the friend request on myspace.
Yes, the tele is nice, it's not actually a real one, back in the 70s my Dad couldn't afford to buy himself a guitar so he made one himself (based on a tele) using a piece of solid ash. Then when I started playing guitar in my teens he gave it to me as he had since bought himself a proper tele. It's a great guitar though quite physically heavy at first but has a good sound!

Hey Brigadier,

It reminds me a bit of something the Zombies probably would have wanted to do around the Odessey album. I like the "I knew I was a creep" line too.
Is this going to be on your new album?
