Nice that it's being released as a single, I guess (in the hope that it can get some adult contemporary radio play, maybe?), but the constant repeats of "all new" through the website and press release are pretty amusing, considering it was released several years ago.

Old news... It was indeed released several years ago. This is a re-release for the entire CD, which I think wasn't in wide circulation before.

It was available only in Target stores, I believe--and not exactly marketed with much effort.

That was it...Target. Yeah, so it's "new" in the sense that it is actually going to be widely available now. Don't be surprised if in the next year or two we get the Hallmark CD "newly" released to a wider outlet.

I just wish they could take a little time and effort to nuance their spin so as to avoid inaccuracy. Press release... All New Wilson Track “What Love Can Do” First Single To Radio
July 7, 2009 Santa Monica, CA: ... [Wilson's] new song and album title track “What Love Can Do” At least acknowledge--even in the final, sure-to-be-clipped paragraph!--that it is a 3-year-old re-release...

Well, it could be worse...it could be a cover of "Time After Time".
Ahem.

Brian should have stopped wearing the oversized shirts years ago. They make him look really bad.

Is that song actually going to be released as a physical single or is it just a download "single"? Any news yet if it's going to be a 7" or a CD-single? Or what'll be the B-side(s)?

Good news if this gets through to a wider audience.
For my part I massively prefer this sort of mid-tempo, loungey song out of the things Brian does these days. This one, Live Let Live, Message Man, Good Kind Of Love... it's MOR alright, but classy MOR.

It seems like if this is going to be released as a single now that he should play it in concert on this current tour.

Yup. This is so old news... except on the Bloo, of course.
I get the impression it's a radio play single only.
