Link Wray -- "S/T" on CD

Passager De La Pluie SDTRK (Francis Lai) -- on LP

*I Guess*

Lately, I see that I'm beginning to be less and less excited about hearing new music. This is kind of frightening for me, because certain "fascinations" in my life --some from preteen years, like: drawing comics and photography; then later: painting and um, "technically demanding" guitar and piano--  have existed it seems, just to vanish as though they never were a cherished and absorbing experience or passion.  I don't recall the exact order in which this negligent, pseudo-foda-off inhabits my thoughts, eventually steering me away from something dear to my person, but I hope this isn't the start. I really do LOVE music, but I realize how bitter I can be.

Spring, that's all I really want this particular moment

There is a copy being auctioned on Ebay ridiculously cheap one day more to bid, but I don't have a record player any more (go to it folks! sorry to ruin the day of the lone bidder, but I'm in a grumpy mood and it makes me feel better to spread it around , heh, heh)

Hurry up with the CD rerelease, please!

I sympathise with  Chemistry Crass up to a point, but as long as you still like old music and there's good new old music yet to be heard, don't give up hope

A USA mono copy of The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees. The remainder of albums I can live without.

I meant new vinyl. I buy them only for the music, I'm not really a collector. If I get a lot of time and money, I'll track down vintage copies. I've already bought the EuroRalph Duck Stab reissue, and I like the sound and all better than the cd (I only have good mp3s of it, though.)

Cool.  I think their CDs are some of the best I've heard, but the vinyl is really nice.

As per Maybelline's recommendation:
  • Fleetwood Mac/Fleetwood Mac from 1975 (often referred to as the 'White Album').
  • Rumours (Fleetwood Mac) from 1977

You'll love those. Do you have "Tusk," Laurie? That's at the tippy top of the Mac steeple.

There's not enough space on the internet to cover my want list. Most pressing items though; "A Tree With Roots" on original Scorpio factory-pressed silver discs, "The Tortellini Accident" (a European compilation of all the original tracks Guns n' Roses covered on "The Spaghetti Incident." It's the only place the Sex Pistols' "Black Leather" is available on CD). Also want to get Cheap Trick's rerecording of "In Color" with Albini.

Far too experimental and weird for Mike though, you think?
