"We might make a rock ‘n’ roll album next year – although I have no idea when we will release it.

Rock ‘n’ roll is music brought to a height of excitement and exuberance.

My album would be more 1960’s rock ‘n’ roll, like Phil Spector, than 1950’s Elvis style.

There are a couple of songs I am writing, although I don’t have any words yet. I will be doing all the music and lyrics.

It will be me and my back up band playing the songs on the record."

Yes, yes, yes. Love You Pt. II

With all the disappointment about the BB's splitting up again (count me as severely disappointed), this interview is a really nice reminder of how grateful we should be for what transpired over the past 9 months. Brian is pretty adamant in this interview that he would never play with ML or AJ again. But still it happened and we got an amazing new album, phenomenal tour, tons of videos, re-releases, a box set (hopefully), etc. Considering Brian's disposition over the past decade, 2012 was a true Beach Boys miracle, and we really need to be grateful for it regardless of what happens in the future (although of course I want nothing more than a new studio album by the BBs!!).

This thread is certainly mis-titled.

Aside from the said, there are some statements I didn't understand, such as "bizarre duet with Paul McCartney" (never thought of the song "A Friend Like You" that way),

I think that's a reference to mccartney's munching on vegetables....

This thread is certainly mis-titled.

To be fair, it wasn't when I created it.

Man, I need to be doing something else with my life ...
