Haven't heard Summer Love Songs yet but wondered whether there are any different versions floating around?

EG: are the US and UK issues precisely the same regarding pressing, file quality etc?

Any differences in the promo version(s) that everyone but me seems to have received prior to release?

Assume the "bonus" segment on the end is the same on each issue? (haven't a clue what that is yet by the way -  please don't spoilt the surprise before my copy arrives Wednesday!)

Just curious...

It's Lennon's version of "Lonely sea" !

To sum it up, they blew it, they blew it consistently, they continue to blow it, it is tragic and this pathological problem caused The Beach Boys' greatest music to be so underrated by the general public.

Gosh darn you blew it!  Secretly I was hoping it was the Lennon/McCartney '67 version of "She's Leaving Vega-Tables".

Sorry to spoil the surprise, but it's a Smile outtake, a prime example of the "humor" aspect
of Brian's album concept, featuring former U.S. ambassador Shirley Temple joining a session
to record an impromptu Wilson brainstorm, "Animal Crackers & Vege-Tables In My Soup". Grin

That's funny, on my copy it's a smile-era vocal session where Mike is explaining 'the formula' to Brian. Now the sound isn't perfect, but it appears to a) presented as a slideshow, and b) involve 'mostly surfin', drivin', women', and surfin'.
