I've been listening to the PSS box quite a bit lately.

Thinking back to 1997, one of my only disappointments with the box was that of the many alternate versions of GOK to which we were treated, the "a capella tag" version was just a repeat of the mix included on disc 5 of the GV box in 1993. It's the mono mix of the track with Brian's guide vocal, but with the a capella tag in stereo.

Has anyone ever tried assembling a version of GOK using the 1996 stereo remix with the a capella tag? Is it possible given the available components?

Thanks!

I'm sure it is. Just get both mixes in audacity or something and chop the stereo fade off, then chop the rest of the alt mix off so there is nothing but the fade, then sync the two up. Easy peasy.

All roads lead to Kokomo. Exhaustive research in time travel has conclusively proven that there is no alternate universe WITHOUT Kokomo. It would've happened regardless.
What is this "life" thing you speak of ?

Then slow it down by 10000% and turn on, tune, drop out. 3D

I wish I knew what the producers of the Good Vibrations box set were smoking when they assumed Brian was singing lead on the alternate mix of "God Only Knows" when it CLEARLY is Carl, albeit an alternate take differing from the album/single master.

Yeah, it's always sounded like Carl to me.
