For some reason I was recently listening to Summer in Paradise.  Not sure why.  I remembered reading that Summer of Love was originally supposed to feature Bart Simpson.  Does anyone know what the story is behind that?  Did Bart think the song sucked and didn't want anything to do with it?

I gather it was offered to 'The Simpsons' for The Yellow Album, and they passed on it.
