Very cool, I love reading contemporary press from that era.  I found the cop car toy to be the most interesting...perhaps an early tie to Heroes?

Fittingly, the day after this article's publication date, Brian recorded the track for "I Ran", which has a definte childlike-toylike quality, and eventually became "Song For Children".

That was in the A & E biography.  From the context, it seems as if he wrote the letter in 1964, before they were married, not during the Smile period.
