I think I'm starting to get a case of those auditory hallucinations. I thought I just heard Brian Wilson say that "Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie" by Jay & The Techniques was his all-time favorite song! Shocked

Oh man, I'm about 13 hours too late. It would've been so cool to hear Brian DJing.

Did anyone have the foresight to record this?

Just wondered?  Roll Eyes

I caught a little bit of it. From what I heard, Brian didn't do much talking. He just said "This is Brian Wilson and you're listening to 100.3", and "Come see me at whatever venue his concert is at", and then he would say, "Does anybody wanna hear whatever?" - then he would play it, and, he would just introduce a song "this is Honky Tonk Woman by The Rolling Stones". He played "What A Fool Believes", "Honky Tonk Woman", "The Long And Winding Road", "Sgt. Pepper/With A Little Help From My Friends", a version of "Then He Kissed Me" that I was not familiar with, and he closed with "Midnight's Another Day". But I missed a lot of it, I think. He was your typical Brian - loud, deliberate, no ad-libbing, tried to sound enthusiastic. That's it, I guess....

Well, you guys missed out, then.
Towards the end, he said 'And now here's a little something I dug out of the closet today. Some vocals we laid down on a track back in 1966 for a song called 'Look'. You guys know it now as 'Song For Children'. So, here it is!' It was fantastic. Imagine your greatest SMiLE track ever recorded, times 10. Beautiful choir-boy harmonies,  a shared lead vocal by Brian and Mike (!), and at one point it's just Carl and Dennis harmonizing on the words 'Look! Look! Bicycle Rider, See, See! What You Done!'.

Sorry, that was a dream I had last night....
