This was posted on the Shut Down board...our first glimpse at the newly renovated East West Studios (formerly Western Recorders).  Although Alan Boyd assures us Studio Three hasn't been messed with, I'm not even sure BW would want to step inside this place now...

I can't say I dig the new look very much, but i'd still record there in a second - as long as the echo chambers are back in action

Is there some sort of law that requires EVERY SINGLE STUDIO to be decorated in the crappiest possible LA early 90's style? I've yet to be in a studio (except maybe electric audio in chicago) that didn't have this horrible concept going for it. Even Jackpot leans toward this plastic rocknroll thing. Arrrggghhh!

I've been in quite of a few of the 'top' studios in and around New York City, and none of them have been 10% as weird as this one. Cleanliness is great, but besides that just keep things paired down and simple! jeeze...

Can you just imagine how much they must charge per hour to cover the cost of this remodeling?
